Right, a three year old Philips LCD TV, VGC but not HD. I've owned this from new- it cost £500- and it works perfectly. It's a great looking case- very 70s, a bit Clockwork Orange, and has the best remote ever- it's less than 1cm thick and cool as hell!
The TV has a great range of inputs- two scarts, ariel and FM ariel sockets, VGA in and DVI in, audio in and out, S-Video and a headphone socket. The pic below is the TV running my Vista PC through DVI- a great clear picture with great sound too. I'm having a bit of a clearout prior to moving and so i'm aiming to cut back to just a laptop for a bit- otherwise i'd be keeping this TV as it's the perfect monitor! There's also Picture in Picture so you can watch TV and use the PC at the same time, or of course you could just use this as a television I guess...

Collection from central Cardiff or delivery to be arranged with the buyer- and delivery cost to be added to the purchase price.

wow, that does look funky, great price for a 26 inch monitor ;)
#5
I'd be interested if I knew how much it'd cost to deliver
#6
I'd deffo be interested and could arrange for it to be picked up :)

I'll buy some scales today to check out the weight- will post back later. Borak- i'm actually on Newport Road in Cardiff so dead easy to find. I teach so i'm in from 4.30 pretty much every day, but we also have a concierge service here so collection earlier is possible...

billy...can I have a side on view of the telly, so I can see the thickness? And also a picture of the back if possible!

edit: Infact, what is the maximum resolution when using DVI?
#9
on the amazon link it says 20kg boxed. On the philips site it says 15kg :|

High definition LCD WXGA display, resolution 1280 x 768p

The resolution means it can display HD but by DVI and VGA only, I don't think theres any HDMI. I'd still like this for my PC and 360 tho :)
#12
I'll take at asking if its not been taken already :)
#13
Hiya, apols for the delay- the maximum resolution according to the manual is 1280x1024, 75 Hz. All I can say for sure is that my Acer connected via a sub £20 PNY 7300 LE DVI card produces a damn good picture, comparable to my AG Neovo monitors.

So borak, would you like to arrange collection? any idea which days/times would suit, as I can probably shift things around a bit to help :)

I'll add a few more pics and weigh the tv tomorrow after work just so you have all the info before we finalise.

What forms of payment do you take? I can do bank transfer, paypal or cash into account :) Well I do have the possibility of bein able to have it collected in the next day or 2! :)

All are fine really. BT or cash into account saves a fiver in paypal fees, but it's all about what you're most comfortable with as the buyer. Obviously bt would have to clear first, i'm with the Halifax if that helps. I'm working just mornings this week, and am home for 1.15 each day barring any unforeseen riots in school... we really need to go on strike again soon, i've got too much to do at the moment!
