#6
Yes - book tokens can be redeemed at WHSmiths - but (and I know people aint stupid but we get asked all the time) you can only used them on books.

It tends to be at the managers descretion though..
#10
Hi,
Are you accepting offer ?

No - its company policy.

It is actually managers discretion as to whether you can redeem on items other than books in Smiths (although they are usually crap managers) lol

Actually - thats where I work as a supervisor. They must be redeemed on books hence they are book tokens. Having worked there for 4 1/2 years I think I should know :whistling:

Any managers that do allow this are indeed breaking company policy.
#14
If my offer is accepted- i do want to spend them on books -so no problems there !
#15
Are these still for sale ???
#16
I purchased them yesterday
#17
Nice to have been informed !
#18
Not up to me to inform you!!!!
#19
Didn't say it was- should have been informed by seller -waited most of yesterday for reply from them !!!!!!!!!!!!

Got to agree, that is a bit out of order to sell to someone else outside of this thread when you offered more than the minimum they were prepared to take.
#21
To be fair I said the absolute minimum I would take was £15 and the offer was £13. Sorry to Catwoman for the misunderstanding..

Payment received and sent, should be there tomorrow..

That is rubbish if I make an offer it does not need to be public it is not outside the thread. the vendor stated their position. I PM so what is wrong?
#24
The fact people were left waiting and you hadn't even declared an intrest on the thread maybe that could be why people are annoyed?
#25
Sorry why do I have to declare an interest? The position was clear.
The vendor stated their minimum price a deal was done. Nobody else needs involved.
The person put in an offer stating they would pay £13. I put in an offer for more. If the person wanted the offer they would have dealt with the vendor at the stated minimum price. The person thought they had the vendor at a disadvantage. They where wrong, hence they missed out.
