3.5" Internal IDE Hard Drive - pref 250gb £15.00

Am looking for a 3.5" internal HD, ideally 250gb, may consider 160gb as well. Doesn't matter if it has been used, but must be in tip top condition with no bad sectors, etc.

What do you have? Please quote delivered price.

What brand is it? How much has it been used/how old? Any bad sectors?

I have a 200GB IDE Hitachi drive that has only been used in my xbox since new (so not much use compared to PC drives), can do it for £20 and meet in Newcastle City Centre any day this week.

Any idea if the previous owner used it or is it brand new? Do you have the ability to hook it up to a PC and check the disk for bad sectors?

Thanks dcx, but that one's out of my price range for the size. Cheers anyway.

Ok, no problem, had to price it at that as was thinking about going for a bigger drive for the xbox but would get a sata one so need some money towards the upgrade and need to buy a xbox compatable sata drive and a SATA to IDE adaptor. Also had a quick look at they are £35+ new.

It's a decent price mate, am just on a budget that's all. The other 2 offers above are prob better value right now.

Also no risk of getting knocked in the post and possible damage there.
If the City Centre is awkward then can pick up from Sandyford.

it was used, but came in good conditon, and the seller had very good feedbac so i trusted him, unfortunately i never got round to installing it in the orignal xbox. i could hook it up to a pc, but not sure what to look for.

Ok fair enough, I'd be prepared to drop slightly to £18 but if I got lower it's not worth me doing, also would require collection (from Sandyford), or could meet in the city centre though, as not prepared to post.

£15 is my absolute budget mate. If you could drop to £15, I'd be able to PPG the funds first and collect from Sandyford this week. Really can't go higher than that though.

western digital I think, as for age a few years but will take pictures this evening and confirm

it was used in a desktop as a secondary storage and now redundanct as I have got a 2 TB drive. No bad sectors but will run a test using the manufacturers tools to confirm status of drive.

I still have this, willing to do it for £17.50 delivered, still has warranty too.

£15 is my limit, would you be willing to go to £15?
#14
Nah that's too low sorry, will take me a few hours to get it out the xbox, format it and test it for bad sectors so not really worth spending the time on it for that. If you change your mind (and don't want to wait/risk the post), then let me know.

I understand but if you could put in another £1 to help with the postage the that would definately be a deal?

I could do £16 delivered if you can provide assurances it will be well/appropriately packaged.

Also - I would prefer that you post first due to low feedback. You will see from my feedback history I am a regular trader on here with some very high value items.

Let me know if you are happy with this and we can move to PM?

It would be packaged in a proper HDD box with foam but unfortunately I am not happy about sending first.

Admittedly I do not have high feeback on here but what I do have is promising and also have feedback on AVForums/Ebay if you wish to check?

I'm a bit confused as one of your positives on here is from your other thread for this HDD which did not lead to a sale. What was that feedback for?

The fairest compromise I'd be happy with is for half now and half upon receipt. I'm not going to jeopardise my reputation on here for £8.

I have no idea how the feedback system works since I did not sell the item. A MOD would have to look at that.

Am happy to do 50% now and then 50% after delivery.

And also I am not going to rip anybody of for a measly £16, if I was going to become a bad boy I would do it for much more than £16, say £20 minimum. :)
