Ahh, I've been looking into possibly getting this TV. Best deal seemed to be John Lewis where I think the price was £799 and came with a 5 year warranty (I think there was stock in some stores but not on the website).

Can I please ask:
- The warranty - is that with the store or with Toshiba (sorry, I probably should know the answer to that)? i.e. if something goes wrong in the next year who fixes it? What store was it purchased from?

- why did you buy two? Presumably it was priced less than £699?

- has the packaging been opened at all?

- is any kind of stand included?

1) It comes with one year standard store warranty (no warranty card from Toshiba inside box), so even if you buy this TV from comet, currys or dixion etc they will give you 1 year store warranty, so you will have to take it into the store to claim any warranty. Same thing applies here, I can provide you the store/shop guarantee card and receipt, which says any electrical goods purchased in this store will be guaranteed by us for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase (27/12/2006). If any thing wrong happen with 12 months either you ll have to take it to store or they ll do pick up or send their engineers if needed.

2) Sorry i can not tell you the name of store on open forum, i ll provide you store detail (receipt/address) on transaction. Yes it cost me less then £699 because it was already on offer plus my aunty used to work for that store so she got discount.

3) This is brand new, in Toshiba sealed box (not refurbished or ex display item)

4) No stand included

As i said i am using one of that TV and quite happy with the picture and sound quality its definitely lot better the LG or Philips
