reserved for pics. This is brand new and received yesterday

Ok, 2 x BN elites posted to you - would you accept that, pending my measurements? :)
#3
yeah, would be great.
#4
If you know somewhere they are really cheap, and means you get a bargain, let me know if I can do it too, then you can just send me the value and I will save postage, if that makes sense!
#5
Right - let me think about this and see if I can swing it - getting pencil, paper and tape measure out, and brain which has dropped onto the floor a few times already this week.

Perfectly, and this is part of the pencil and paper calculation. Back in a bit

My thoughts would be to buy 2 Elites from either HMV or Gamestation and flog the 2/4 games making the price of the Elite around £175 -£180 each.

1 Elite and cash may be better for me, as my brother has an Arcade console he wishes to trade in...but will happily accept your first offer Liddle

Just a helping hand, if the Arcade has a flashable drive then you will be able to sell it on here for a lot more than trading it in.

I'd rather go with the first baz - but it would involve you picking up the elites from your local Gamestation and sending me the games that come with the bundle - stick them in box with the TV. Would that still work for you? Saves me postage costs and less chance of transit damage -- just don't use your moped to pick them up.

Btw, this is still based on other things working and pending me looking at a 40" in local currys to make sure it won't spoil the room. Also need to think about spec.

I knew you'd be reasonable about that. And from what I've heard it wouldn't be the first time you had a pain in your bum ... but that's another story. :) Ok, deal pending my thinking this through and looking at size, specs, reviews, etc. PM me if you get another offer in the meantime. Can have an answer by the morning latest.

Oops, important question I forgot: warranty situation?
#14
Sorry Liddle, I would prefer an Elite+cash deal on this one. Should still work out quite well in your favour. Say Elite+ £210?
#15
And I don't have a receipt, so no warranty :x Was bought Via 'The Wifes' work, so we got it cheaper. The only drawback being we didn't get a receipt
#16
you would still have manufactor warranty though.
baz dont suppose u can get me a cheap tv :)
#17
this tv is great. I have exactly this model in my living room hooked up to my 360. Had mine about 9 months. Will need hooking up through am amp as the speakers are pants. But picture is absolutely bang on the money!!! I paid 719.99 for mine so good deal!

Maybe you did get a receipt but are embarrassed to show that you only paid £2.75 for it. Eh? Huh?

Right, well I'm not sure if you are in a position to reject my 2 console offer if that's my preference Mr Baz - what do you think? :)
#23
Baz im interested in this, ive got 180 gamestation vouchers.

when the pics gonna be up also how much extra would you want on top of the vouchers
#24
As far as I am aware, you still need a receipt for a manufacturers warranty, especially on an oldish TV. The TV could have been bought anytime.

I maybe wrong though, but thats what I was told with my Toshiba.
#25
this is for sale 'as new' then. It is being bought from me, without receipt and as such, without warranty. It is brand new to me, but will be sold as new.

Thanks everyone for the pm's, but I have one tv going cheap, I can't get people tvs!

 Is that code for "I've got a lorry-load of knocked off TV's. PM me if you want one." :p

But seriously there are few people I'd buy a new TV without warranty from, but you are one of them Mr. Baz, so my offer of 2 x consoles stands I think - pending me looking at 40" models in Currys. I'm still not convinced that a 40" won't ruin the room. It's a large room, but 40"... Anyone got a pic of one in their living room they could share?

Thanks for the pic Marzbarz - was hoping for one that takes the aerial view of the whole room - thinking about that, it's probably a bit much to ask!

edit: the 2nd pic just up is better - thanks!

they are pretty huge!! I will wait and see what else gets offered and the size of your room, but would rather have:

£450 or 1 elite and £210

Just posted your dongle...

I would want to use that to buy an elite, new. So, doing my maths I would want £210 on top.

Reason being The console would cost £229.98 at cheapest (as a bundle with two games), minus the cost of the 2 games being re-sold (say £50 for both games) that leaves the 'price' at £179.98 so your £180 voucher would cover it. Although, you normally only get 90% of a voucher value selling it!
