Why did you get it then?

Was an RMA from a drive i sent back last week.
I found that drive under my bed in a box, so this is an unopened 400GB that I dont want as my file server uses SATA

lol, or go to ebuyer, scan or dabs and get a 500gb ide/sata for 75 pounds
#5
You will probably decline, but £60 to get the ball rolling
#6
£85 and postage is the cheapest i have seen this drive.

You can get cheaper, but they will be Maxtors, which alot of people like myself dont trust as I have had 4 fail one me in 18months, segate are a decent make.

£60 is too low but I am open to offers as I have no use for the drive
#7
Seagate are a decent make? in the last week i know two people whose harddrives have died and they have been seagates.
#8
google or do your research properly please, you will taht Maxtors are the most likely hard drive to crash, Western Digital, Seagate are the most reliable, google for all the info in the world about them.

or evern join a forum like overclockers and see what all the people on there say about Seagates and Maxtors :)
#9
Seagate own maxtor now anyway - quality is very similar now. It's only old batch maxtors that you need to be wary of.
#10
Don't you think £80 is expensive? scan sell seagate for £60 - deliverd if you got the free delivery thing.

I bought mine for £63.
#11
this is pre-seagate takeover so it is 100% pure breed Crapstor
#12
this is a Seagate drive not a maxtor so try not to fill this thread with Maxtor rubbish as most people with any decent knowledge on components knows Maxtor are naff.

and will people please check prices before psoting on here, this drive from Scan costs
TOTAL £85.56

So dont say it is worth £60 please :)

£75 delivered

I'll be a good person and lift this burden off you. As a gesture of goodwill I will pay for postage.

so about £10 delivered? :p:p
#16
haha try me when im drunk :p

URL for same drive added, will take a picture after dinner :)
#17
How about £10 plus a couple of bottles of wine tsinc80697?

Here

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=459996

this comes with a 5 year warranty I *think* - overclockers say it has 5 year manufacturers warranty, so scan must aswell.
#18
Yeah thats the drive and with postage it is 85.

Wine isnt my taste really :p
#19
Dropped the price by a tenner to 65quid!
