Which probably means your memory was overclocked since the fsb and memory are linked in most motherboards.

But that doesnt matter. Overclocking in sensible hands doesnt damage components anyway. I hate this obsession with, "has it ever been overclocked?". Those that actually have in depth knowledge pay more for components that overclock better. Components such as RAM dont gradually break. Its a random occurance which is simply greater when overclocked. However, when you stop overclocking it, its just as likely to break as the same age product which hasnt been overclocked.

I had the cpu overclocked for less than 1 month.... only with the 1st kit..... now I'm on the stock speeds for the cpu

Can I just ask if you still have the warranty information and if they will be sent in anti static bags?
#20
Of course I will send them in anti-static bags. I am not sure what you mean by warranty information. One kit has been bought from overclockers uk and the other one from misco. Usually I keep everything so I can search them if you are really interested.
#21
I only ask about the warranty incase anything goes wrong with them. Seeing as how they are so new (6 months and 1 month) they will still be under warranty and easily replaceable should they die. But the only way to get them replaced is if I had the original receipt or invoice.

Ill offer £70 for both kits. Let me know

Crucial have a lifetime warranty. You simply phone them up on a freephone number. Ask for an RMA explaining why your RAM is broken, and then theyll give you an adress to send it to and theyll get you a new kit out in 48hours.
