I was given this as a swap for a laptop but have decided to sell it as i am building a gaming PC, Although it is a few months old it had never been turned on until i got it last week and i immediately installed Windows Vista 64bit ( with COA ) and AVG free, There is no other software on the PC as i deleted all the junk that comes with Packard Bells and did a clean install,Selling as used but it really is as brand new apart from a couple of marks on one side where it has been stored,
£250 buyer to collect from Wakefield ,West Yorkshire or arrange postage extra,
If needed for an extra £60 i will fit a 500w PSU and a 8800gt graphics card,

No thanks mate ,got a Advent 4211 and never use it ,
#7
Last bump before i expire,
#8
If only i had money to spend on a pc.
#9
Its a hell of a PC and damned quiet too but i want something i can overclock, You dont have a decent graphics card to trade do you ?.
#10
Is the windows a genuine version. Would i be able to receive securitry updates etc
#11
Just noticed it also said no modem so i would need to get one of those fitted as well ??
banned#12
this still selling?
#13
Yes genuine windows and i can put a modem in as i have a couple laying around,
#14
Am very interested but i have a few questions about it.

Am am not as familiar to desktops so what is the graphics card like?

Can it handle many games?

What would you charge me for the pc and the 8800 graphics card

Also how fast is it? And if i wanted to put a blueray player in the future could i do that?

This is a very fast PC and you would have to spend £500 plus to get faster however the graphics is basic so would be OK for desktop use but not for games,Quad core PC are best for video editing etc and can be twice as fast as the equivilant core 2 duo at video processing,If you did want to use it for games i could fit a 8800gt with HDMI but i would also have fit my 500w PSU so i would need £280 to make it worthwhile,And yes a blueray player owuld fit straight in an would work great especially with the HDMI,
#16
Hmm, i can only stretch to £250 delivered but i really wanted the graphs card and psu fitted
#17
Sorry couldnt do it for that but i could sell my Core 2 duo e4600 pc with the 8800gt for £200 and i would keep the packard bell,
#18
What is that processor like? Is it fast?
#19
Not meaning to interrupt but £200 is one hell of a price for this. The processor retails for not much more on its own.

If I lived closer to Yorkshire, and had some spare funds, I would take this in a minute!

I am interested in the system but i dont know much about gaming pc's lol. So am just trying to get a feel of what i am buying. I am definately interested thought and willing to pay immediately.

Ive seen the ebuyer offer as well but members are saying to put the 4760 in that one. So am just deliberating between this one and that one.

Which one is better? especially in terms of graphics gaming and is there a huge difference in the processors? I really dont do any overclocking etc. Just need a fast enough pc to play games.

Its 2.6ghz so is as fast as the q6600 at gaming and most other things but for video editing the quad core is faster,it has 250gb HDD 2gb ram and card reader etc,
Its an Emachines E4264 but i upgraded the CPU and fitted a quiet cooler,a 500w PSU and the 8800gt,It has vista home premium with COA also,

I cant show a pic yet as its under my desk

That one is ok but you would still need to buy an OS ,Speed wise that is about the same as the E4600
#23
If you want it for Gaming you dont need a quad core as most games dont utilise more than two,The main thing is to have a good graphics card, but if you want to use it for video editing then the quad core is better,

#26
Ok can you tell me the full spec if possible?

Is it a 7200rpm hard drive? Also can i upgrade the memory and does it have a wireless card inside it to connect to the net. What is the 8800gt card like in terms of gddr3 or 256mb?

Which PC ?
#28
The £200 one. Emachines please. Am really interested. Willing to pay tonight if we can come to arrangement. And the condition of it please?

Is there also a chance you can tell me the scores. Its the ones where the max on vista can be 5.9. Just so i have an idea please mate
#29
Its an Emachines E4264
Core 2 duo E4600 2.4ghz
250gb Sata 7200rpm HDD
2gb ram
Point of view 8800gt 512mb with HDMI
DVD rewriter

I believe 2gb is the most ram the Mobo supports but unless you use it for
video editing you wont notice any difference

Just running the vista thing now
