OK firstly, it says Sony on it - its a fake.

I loaded on 2 games for my PSP - FF7 Crisis Core and Dragonball Z 2.

Crisis core wouldnt load, so I just bought the original - DBZ 2 however was fine.

I have decided to get a geniune 4gb one, so hopefully get the money from this one to fund it

Asking £28 inc post. I paid £30 inc from ebay 2 weeks ago, have original packaging and you dont have to wait weeks!

Also has adapter

I got a 2gb one from ebay a few months ago, (Fake) but great box and paperwork, and card... Difficult to tell the difference, mine however works great and does not have any problems..

Good price, I think I paid that for my 2gb.

sicpuppy: what game did you put on the card first? was it DBZ by any chance?

These things are notorious for having hex editing to make them appear larger than they are, that is why the first few games/ applications you put on will work fine, it is not until you surpass the actual size of the card (maybe 1 or 2 gig) that you encounter these problems of games not working etc, just a thought for you mate as you should be able to

(1) report the seller to ebay for selling counterfeit goods

(2) tell them you are going to the police about it and

(3) start a paypal dispute to get your money returned, also leaving bad feedback for the muppet who sold you a fake in the first place.:P

The seller has excellent feedback who I bought from; I dont think the memory is hacked is there any ways to check for sure?

I know trading in illigal goods on ebay is wrong, but I knew I was getting a fake at half the normal price, so I just got on with it....

If people are paying that for this item, they have to assume it is fake.

easiest way is to get say 7gb worth of files and copy them over, if they dont all copy you know for sure it isnt 8 gig,

ger cards.
Its not the fact that things are counterfit, you take that into consideration with the prices, its the fact that they hack them and sell them as larger cards.:x:x

Yup, completely fill the card, one game at a time, tell me when your games stop working.
try this:-
Put a gme on the card that is roughly 1 gig in size, then play it,
then add another game that is about the same size, keep repeating this until the latest game will not work, that will give you an indication of the true size of your memory stick.

On a lot of the hacked cards, the files will appear to transfer and when you try to read the card in the PC it will even say the games are there, but they wont actually play.

Seeing as DBZ 2 is quite a large game, and Crisis Core is almost 2gig i am not surprised that they both didnt fit, the reason (or at least what I believe ) that DBZ worked and Final Fantasy didnt, is that DBZ was placed on the card first, giving it the actual physical memory of that card and spoofing the FF:CC data onto it afterwards.
