Many of these are available cheaper new.

American Gangster £4 from Play.com

Smokin Aces £3 from Play.com
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3343226/Smokin-Aces/Product.html

300 2 disc £7 delivered from Play.com (same as you)
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/1102818/300/Product.html

In Bruges £4 delivered
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3592854/In-Bruges/Product.html

Kung Fu Hustle £4 delivered
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/702292/Kung-Fu-Hustle/Product.html

And that's just the ones that I could be bothered to look up, checking only one site. Also, £1 per DVD for postage and time? First time I've ever seen anyone charge for their time in posting something. Bottom line is that you really need to rethink your prices if you're going to have any hope of selling these.

God what a scathing post from Jamie.

Maybe I will re-think the prices. There seems to be so much hostility on this site sometimes, its a real shame people cant just be polite.

You could try www.find-dvd.com - it'll search the cheapest prices :)

To be honest if people want to me to beat prices I will.

I do say in the original post that I am open to offers, so the prices I state are merely opening prices. I am assuming Jamies knows nothing of negotiation.

Not really. I will admit on reading it back that I could have been a little less brash (and perhaps but a smilie on the end or something), but ultimately I've given you advice on how to sell your products. A strawberry that isn't coated in sugar may not taste as nice, but it's still good for you

Good work on the subtle cheap shot, but unfortunately I know far more about negotiation than you seem to think. For example, as much as people may think it does, setting your opening prices artificially high in the hope that somebody counters only to a price that is still beneficial rarely reaps rewards. In fact, unreasonable opening prices more often drive away offers as they give a potential buyer the impression that the seller is unreasonable and therefore not desirable to deal with :)

But when the seller specifically states he is willing to negotiate in the post, setting the prices at current market value isnt wholey unreasonable.

Thank you for the 2 free bumps.

Not at all, but the market values for new and used goods are different ;-)

You're welcome, have a third :)

For what it's worth, you've got some decent movies on that list and, bearing in mind the condition, I do hope that you shift them. It's just a bit of a shame that the falling value of DVDs means that selling them second hand (even when in excellent condition) nets you relatively little most of the time.

Unfortunately I'm also counting your responses as bumps. In the meantime, review the full set of fs/ft rules and ensure that no further listings are above the current selling prices at established retailers.

No relisting any of the above until 7 full days have elapsed.
