Hi would you take £150 (inc extra ram) and I can collect. Paypal payment ready and waiting (I'll even pay paypal's fees! - £5.49 according to ppcalc!)

not looking to buy, just wanted to add that I got one of these sitting as a spare pc, chucked in an extra gig of ram, and a passive cooled 8600gt gfx card, and it runs almost silent, and is very quick, would make a fantastic cheap media centre pc

If I recall these were £300 in Comet not that many months ago so seems a very reasonable price..albeit without the supplied hard drive..best of luck with your sale.

Just needs a harddrive and it's good to go

Sorry to butt in here, but I guess that without a hard drive, there was no Operating system when it was purchased.

With the COA on the side of the case, assuming that the buyer (Woodrowwyatt) has installed a hard drive, its just a case of getting a MCE2005 CD. This can be copied or original, it makes no diference as the COA on the side of the case is in fact the official component here.

Insert the CD, install the operating system and type in the code from the COA when asked. You will have a truly authenticated version of MCE2005.

Now, if the OP has upgraded the OS to Vista through Acers Vista Upgrade, well the MCE2005 COA becomes invalid, and that is a totally different situation.

Hope that helps.

That's correct. In fact, it can be downloaded if you know where to look. As long as you have a legit key, then it's perfectly legal. When you buy Windows, you are not purchasing the software. You are merely licenced to use it. Where the CD/DVD originates is a moot point as long as you have a legitimate key.

Cheers guys, but I got in touch with Acer to ask them about replacing, even though i DO have a legit COA on the side, they won't replace without a receipt, i'm just after some ORIGINAL discs to go with it, not a dodgy download. I have been asking the seller if he had the receipt but no message back, that's why i just went public!
