I think you would be hard pushed getting one for that spec at that price. I managed to drop lucky myself just after a basic laptop getting a 2.6ghz Celeron 30GB HD 512mb RAM 15" Screen Acer Travelmate 2200 from Ebay a few months ago for £85. Lid was a little scuffed, but its currently in the process of being resprayed if only the weather would hold up for me to complete it.

I think looking on Ebay maybe your best bet, timing being the key to finding the deals, also if you can find one thats in need of repair, faulty inverter or the like (but only if you are handy with taking stuff apart) You really would be hard pushed getting one that spec for £60 ubless you can drop lucky (with self collection rather than paying postage) on Ebay.

Yeah i did manage to get one on ebay a few weeks ago but it never turned up, seller said it got lost in post. Thought i would have more luck on here, i suppose a 1.4ghz would be sufficient for my daughter if that would boost my chances of getting one,i dont know.

I would really doubt that for £60 you are going to be hard pushed finding a very basic laptop on Ebay that doesn't require some sort of repair/and or one that you are not willing to collect in person.

Laptops surprisingly hold their prices well on Ebay, you would be most hopeful in using the advanced search tool in Ebay, put in a distance you are willing to travel to and you may drop lucky with one whereby a seller doesn't put in a key search word like "laptop" into their description. Try googling laptops with your specification and put in the model number in Ebay, thats how I stumbled upon mine quite cheap, seller didnt put laptop or notebook in the description and it was for sale during a bank holiday weekend too, with peeps being away that can affect sale price.

Good luck but really I think you may have to up your budget a little, even with those tips.

You'll be lucky to get a Pentium 3 for £60.

xp on its own is worth £40 so you will have to raise your price unless you use linux
