Can you confirm :

1. The unit is new and unopened, and has not been tuned in.
2. The receipt will be supplied for warranty purposes, and what the purchase date was
3. you can post a picture of the box (with your name and date) to confirm its A1 (as its for an Xmas present).
4. how you will ship - need it to be wrapped discretely so an inquisitive child will not see what's in the box !
#4

I have already dropped it from £85, to £75.

Can you not stretch to £75? Leaves me with just under £70 after postage.

You could walk into argos and get the same tele for £120.

I'm afraid £70 is all I have to spend, and have one in another thread (admittedly not as good as yours as has been used for about a week) that I could get for £70 ...

for shipping, as long as the outer box is wrappen in brown paper or similar that will be fine (some people would just stick an address label direct on the box)...

Can you confirm the actual date of purchase ?

I will accept £70, aslong as i send by the cheapest method possible. If you want it recorded/special etc do you mind paying the extra?

Go to pm if its a deal?

Happy in principle but I think for both our protection it should go via a method that is tracked and preferrably insured. Can you confirm total price including suitable shipping.

I would be only accept it shipped with no tracking is you sent first and I paid on reciept. You have good feedback its just the hassle factor if it goes wayward, you would have to refund me and claim back from PO etc etc.

So £70 delivered via a tracked method of delivery would be a deal !

Im not happy to pay extra for it to be tracked, and im not happy to send it first. I feel £70 is already a cracking deal for a tv you could walk into argos and pay £120 for.

Thanks for your offer all the same. If you go to £75 i will pay for it to be tracked.

To send it via parcel for, insured up to £500 is £10.99 + vat. I will be happy to send it via that for £75.

Otherwise I would be left with less than £60 for a tv which is worth £120.

Would you be happy if i sent it by DHL, compensation of up to £50?

Its nearly half the other postage cost, i would be happy to deal that that.
#21
unfortunately its only £99.99 in argos now ...

So what does that mean? Is sending it by DHL ok?
#23
Sorry, just meaing that it only works to me as a deal @ £70 delivered.

If you are willing to take the risk with uninsured delivery then I am happy to pay on reciept (or pay say £20 up front to ensure your postage costs are covered, and the rest on reciept).

If you are to use a courier that provides tracking and insurance happy to pay £70 up front.

But its not worth more that £70 to me as I can get it for £99 in Argos.

this is in no way a lack of trust in you, but in the courier/postal services !
#24
just seen your PM about DHL - are you sure that services covers TVs as a lot of them have exclusions (I use Parcel2go a lot who use DHL and TVs are specifically excluded).

what weight / dimensions is the box ?

Ah, your right. Well, i can send it tracked by DHL just not insured. (Is that the case with all couriers?)
#26
Good enough for me as long as its well packaged so the box doesnt get damaged in transit.

Think we have a deal !

Can you confirm the date of purchase - would I recieve it within 28 days from date of purchase so if the telly hasnt survived very well I can get an instant replacement from Argos ?

DHL's service does cover TVs, but Parcel2Go's service (even if using DHL) doesn't..... i.e. P2Go could make a claim, but if sucessful you might not see the money :whistling:

DHL depots wouldn't know this though, so I'd imagine that it'd still be safe (well...as safe as any other parcel) in transit.

It will be DHL by parcel to go. Closest DHL branch is about 12 miles from my house.

DHL by parcel2go does not include insurance - TVs are specifically excluded. https://www.parcel2go.com/shipping-items.aspx#unins

Lets just do it anyway, and if there is an issue with the delivery (non delivery or damaged delivery) we can just resolve through normal paypal refund system.
#33
Deal, have sent you my details.

payment sent

TV received in A1 condition and well packaged. Receipt only showed purchase price of £99, not £120 as stated but I'm happy enough. feedback left.
