Pretty useful drive bay mod, had it fitted to my machine for a couple of months, now I have changed cases to a case with a door, so this doesn't really get used anymore, hence selling. You can display pretty much anything on this screen, I used it for CPU / GPU temps, cpu clock speed, network usage, and lots more, even stats from BF3 games! Can be placed on the desk doesn't have to be mounted in the case.

Alphacool Dual Drive Bay LCD Display with Software - Black

Full graphic Display for connection to USB 1.1 or USB 2.0. The display fits in two 5.25" Slots perfectly and thanks to its extra flat construction it leaves enough room for further internal housing modifications, such as radiators, pumps, etc.

The down-loadable software enables the indication of system information, such as temperature or memory capacity utilization, as well as the possibility of indicating unlimited graphics. With the aid of a simple Script language, you can easily display external data e.g. Winamp or Main board-Monitor results. On the subject of information no limits are set.
Examples for use: displaying system temperatures, processor, CPU load, networking stats, memory use, Winamp titles, News-feeds (e.g. BBC World), Game Stats, email detail,…etc, etc.

ALPHA LCD SOFTWARE
The long expected software was programmed especially for our displays. It disposes of auto Installation mechanisms and possesses a substantially improved driver model. Be in for a surprise!
The software enables the display of system information, such as temperature or memory capacity utilization, as well as the possibility of indicating unlimited graphs. Transfer of Winamp or Main board Monitor results (MBM5). On the subject of information hardly limits are set.
The software is multilingual and equipped with a windows conformal operating interface. Intuitive Drag& Drop - makes the handling of this software much more user friendly.

*The compatibility to LCD Hype remains and has been improved by a new extensive Script.

I know this is a little off topic but do you know where I can find the single 5.25 version of this?

Anyway have a free bump from me.

I'm afraid I don't, had a quick browse online and they seem rare in comparison to these dual bay ones. If you dont have room for a double one in your case you can easily mount these outside your case on your desk perhaps.

Is it an internal USB or external USB? and how long is the cable, I have a HAF X and its a pretty big case and has grommets on rear for watercooling but if it is an external USB could work and if its an internal even better.

I was looking for the single bay purely for a HP Microserver to display hard drive info but I may take this off your hands for my gaming PC.

I'm away at the moment but will measure the cable I used when I get back, I had it moutned on the desk so it was long enough. You can either mount it via an external USB port (which I did) or use the USB headers on the motherboard but I'm not sure I have the internal cable, I will look and get back to you.

Thanks again

If you could that would be great, if not not to worry (I might have one somewhere) if you send me your Paypal email I'd be happy to pay £30 all in if that's ok?
