Just a heads up but you can't connect a PC/laptop to a PS3 by just connecting a USB cable. Both PCs and PS3s have USB ports, but they are both 'host' devices. If you want to access your PC files from your PS3, you'll have to look for another option such as setting up PS3 Media Server on your laptop.

You need a network cable to connect your laptop to your ps3.

cant you just unplug the lan cable from your netbook and use that then put the netbook on wireless as a netbook will die with that much demand being put through it ....

maybe we need to know more about your connection setup for ppl to help you out on here even draw it out on paint and post the picture ....

i just need a a male to a male usb cable and a ethernet cable ,Cheers anyway mate much appreciated

to connect laptop to a PS3 with a network cable you are looking for a "Crossover Cable" it looks the same as a normal network cable but has 2 wires inside the cable wired the other way round so you dont need a hub/router between them

I have a couple that light up , they have LED's at both ends .........Light or Dark green cables ,7 ' long.
