right, i just got myself a new motherboard, but it only has 1 ide connection :(, this is alright because all my music and decent stuff is on my 500gb sata, but there's no os installed on it, so i don't wanna lose my 120+gb's of music) but i cannot fit both my 80gb drives aswell on my motherboard now, i don't wanna wait like a year for a ide sata thing to come from dealextreme, who i still haven't recieved my fan from after a month, so does anyone wanna one of my 80gb ide's (the one without an os installed, a seagate baracudda 7200) for a similar spec'd sata drive?

I doubt anyone would do this...

If you go on to ebay, you will get a Sata-IDE converter for cheap and from a UK seller. Should be here by Wednesday

you can run 2 ide hd on one cable, so why not buy a sata dvd rom for about £15 or less. that would sort you out and save money

You can install an OS without losing the stuff on it. You just have to make sure that it doesnt format the drive when you install it.

use windows xp live boot cd and you can get to the stuff on the hard drives that way
