Had this iPad under a month. Have barely used it tbh. I have just invested in a MacBook pro and use that more. Have an iPhone also so don't see the use for this. Paid £599 + £30 for the Apple case. Should have the receipts somewhere. Will definitely have a look.

Mint condition. No scratches visible anywhere. Will get pics up if anyone is interested in this.

Thanks very much!
#10
can you confirm if you have found the receipt or not.
Thanks
#11
Yes have the receipt for both the iPad and the case too!
#12
What's the lowest you can go?
Interested, but only worry is that you have no feedback and you are not too active on here.
#13
That really is the lowest mate. Can try make an eBay account and sell there if necessary.

Yeah i thought that might be a worry for people but what can I do in order to gain the trust?

What you have to do is sell your items for rediculously low price's and send them out before recieving payment thus putting the buyer in full control and leaving yourself completely exposed to fraud or lost items. :p
#15
will you take paypal. via a invoice?
#16
Aha nice.

And sorry mate I don't wanna be lumbered with pay pal and all the nonsense. My friends have told me horror stories.

Paypal is probably one of the safest way to pay/receive money as both buyer and seller have security.

Paypal is a safe way to send money but I hate recieving money for goods from it, although I do. The problem with Paypal is if the buyer makes a claim, paypal will always side with the buyer and take the money back out of the sellers acount. I have known people to claim the item never arrived even when they have and had their money refunded. Plus the fee's they demand is day light robbery. Your better off sticking to a cheque.

looks like I will have to pull out of this then, a bit too risky for that amount of money. I'm not even going to ask you to send it first as you will probably say no and its just a bigger risk to you.

Can you not get a mod involved and do the trade through them?
#21
I understand your worries mate but what else can I do. I don't like pay pal because like trigger Andy said, similar things have happened to my mates and I can't risk that kinda stuff mate. Just want a simple transaction.

Is there nothing else we can do to go through with this? Like the poster above says, no way to get a mod involved in order to sort this out?
#22
not sure what the mods will do to help to be honest. Paypal still seems the safest Option, if you have proof of postage and me signing for the package Paypal will have no reason to doubt you in a dispute. It wont be possible for me to collect as I'm from London.
#23
Do Special Delivery through the Royal Mail (up to £500 insurance).

Give the buyer the provided tracking ID, and input it on PayPal. Upon signing for the item both the buyer and the seller will be protected.
#24
Like I seen in another thread u could sent the ipad to a trusted member and when they recieve the goods, they tell the buyer to send the money and sent the goods on.

But it does add to expenses, and needs alot of trust
#25
The price you are selling does not justify anyone to risk their money. I think you need to lower ur price further
#26
If you guys need a go between I may be able to help, I live in Coventry so near the OP and I should have training in London from Monday onwards for two weeks.

I'm not too sure on what to do now. If i have the money from paypal into my bank then I know nothing can go wrong at all so I will be happy to do it that way?

Not true, what if something goes wrong and they reverse the payment? your paypal then sits in a minus balance.

And as I mentioned before, if a dishonest buyer puts a claim into paypal claiming that the item never turned up paypal will most likely refund the money, even with proof of delivery\recieval. (Unless this has changed in the last year)

But if the buyer here is known to be reliable then go for it. I would take the chance, its ebay you have to watch out for.

You can also open a new paypal account (use your imagination) as soon as the funds clear transpher them to your bank and close the account down.

OP,

As your ebay ID has been closed, do you want to disclose ?

This will offer potential buyers another level of comfort when deciding to trade.
