Hey All,

So I went to the States and made my pilgrimage to the Apple Store and have a cough* spare iPad for sale.

It is brand new it's the 64GB wifi model.

I will put a link to a pic below, It is sealed and never been touched. I hear these are impossible to get hold of so now's your chance.
Shipping/Payment:
I can accept payment by bank transfer or PayPal.

Personally I would prefer payment over the counter of a Natwest branch or internet banking, paypal are a nightmare to deal with.

I will post by Royal Mail Special Delivery so you are guaranteed to receive. Alternatively I am based just outside Cambridge, feel free to come and collect and pay cash.
Location:
Cambridge

Profiteering. In before the lock and ban.

Well as the price is $699, this is approx £460 so even with delivery at £10. Most you could realistically ask is £470.

if this works out at £460 approx, you cant buy one direct from apple in the u.s and have it shipped over so you would need to buy it from a reseller who is going to want to make a profit on it so you could expect to pay at least £550 quid ,then shipping 3 day insured delivery from the usa by fedex is around £30 quid (to the poster that said £10 postage, you couldnt post this fully insured within the uk for a tenner) that gives us a total of £580 so far, import duty on electronics is between 12% and 14% so even taking this at its lowest 12% adds on another £70 running total now £650 you then have vat on top of this 17.5% this is on the total value goods plus shipping so 17.5% of £580 is £101.50,running total now £756.50.

last but not least, fedex, royal mail...or whover it gets shipped by will charge you a £10 admin fee for paying the vat and import duty for you so they can deliver the parcel.

so you are looking at around between at least £700 quid upto £800 quid delivered.

now i dont know the op,or have any interest in buying this, but i do import a lot of electronic goods as i am a sucker new gadgets, these prices are correct or pretty dam close

now does £730 sound so bad now, especially as the op says you can collect,

also remember those that are looking on apple website, the sales tax in new york is 8.875% which is $61.25 on a $700 dollar sale making the retail price $761.25.

Thread closed. Traders not permitted.

As for expected selling price here, you won't be selling over the current rrp. We'll be disregarding anything over the rrp, regardless of additional sales tax, delivery to original owner, import tax, etc..

This isn't a site for profit nor is it a site for traders.

Do not relist this item again please.
