Right well im an idiot. I have broke my wifes Macbook :/ So shes got mine now.

I spilt a cup of tea over my Macbook. Unfortunately and again stupid.. When i moved i completely forgot to get home contents insurance.

I spilt the cup of tea over it 2 days ago i tried it today and it seems to book up all fine. But then after 20 mins closed back down. So it could need further drying out etc but i dont wanna risk it. Apart from that its fine, keyboard is fine etc. Not sticky or anything.

So £250 inc delivery. It's only about 3 months old. Will post pics after i get home from work.

Could use be used as spare or repairs or use ya own home contents insurance.

So £250 ...
Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
160GB hard drive.
13.3ins glossy widescreen TFT display
NVidia GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB dedicated memory.

Comes with Leopard installed iLife 09. All discs in perfect condition. Also includes a case.

THIS IS NOW WORKING

Basically last night i turned it on to try and get my data off within the short space of time it would come on, as i had sold it to someone on here.

Basically it came on, shut down immediately and then wouldnt come on. Thinking id broken it more, i messaged the buyer on here and gave him a full refund.

Deciding i had a brick for a macbook i rang a mate to see what he could do (runs an apple suite in a school) he took me through over the phone opening it up. Was some residue on the connector on the board which goes to the screen, told me to clean it off gently, subject it to some light heat for 10 mins and then let it rest for 10 mins. Felt like Gordon ramsey.

Low and behold its working all fine.

Why don't you take it to the Genius bar (as it's under warranty), and just don't mention the spillage?

I’ve been looking online – it appears they would notice the water damage quite easily when opening it up. So no point getting apple to look at it.

ACTUALLY EXPIRING THIS WILL ASK ON MISC.
