I am selling my Powerbook as I have just purchased another Mac from Comet.

The powerbook that is being sold seems to have a dead battery and needs to be plugged in most of the time.

You have to play with the screen a little when turned on as half the screen does get a black and white line across it until you maneuver the screen and it normal again, something that can easily be fixed, even by the genius bar in Apple Stores.

There is no dead pixels or anything like that, everything is working fine. I will leave all the software on there if you wish which includes Photoshop, Office etc

All boxed and ready to go :0)

Open to offers at the moment so lets hear them, not even sure what its worth now? I brought it for £1450 at the time.

The PowerBook G4/1.67 15" features a 1.67 GHz PowerPC 7447a (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit and 512k on chip level 2 cache, 512 MB of PC2700 DDR SDRAM, an 80 GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive (5400 RPM), a slot-loading 8X "SuperDrive", a Firewire "400" and "800" port, built-in Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and AirPort Extreme (802.11g), and ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 (4X AGP) graphics with 64 MB of DDR SDRAM in an attractive aluminum alloy case with a 15" widescreen TFT display (1280x854 native resolution). Custom configurations also were available.

The PowerBook G4/1.67 15" is quite similar to the PowerBook G4/1.5 15" that came before it, but is equipped with a faster processor, a brighter "ambient light sensor" keyboard, a more capable optical drive, a faster hard drive complete with "Sudden Motion Sensor" technology that stops the hard drive heads from moving if the notebook is dropped, a new "Scrolling Trackpad" that allows one to scroll or pan by touching the trackpad with two fingers instead of one, and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR.
Can ship direct to you in the original box, pay postage

OOhhh OK Spobby,

Will go and research this instance and reply with a price I am looking for, give me a few minutes :santa:

Magical Thanks
I am back again troopers,

Well I would be looking for £390 which includes postage special delivery direct to you, I think the last post if you want it before Christmas is around the 22nd?

Magical Thanks
no offense but 390 is a bit steep for something of that spec...512mb of ram isnt too good

what software is installed please?
Microsoft Office
Adobe Photoshop CS2
Not sure what else is on there?
is it leopard (OSX 10.5.5)
ilife (garageband, iphoto, imovie etc)

Sorry for all the questions.
Hi, where are you based for collection?

Can you show a photo of the screen problem please. When you say "maneuver the screen" do you mean you have to open and close the lid a few times?

Are you just guessing when you say it could be easily fixed, as screen problems can work out to be very expensive on laptops - especially as this one is well out of warranty.

Thanks
You just have to move the screen forwards or backwards then it comes clear. All sorted :0)
So what you are saying is that the line across the screen is there permanently, you just have to move the laptop to a viewing angle where it can no longer be seen?

If there's a permanent line across the screen it won't be something that can be "easily" fixed, so I'm not sure where you got that idea from?

You've also avoided my other questions:

Where are you based? Can you post a pic of the line across the screen?
Lovely notebook! I had a 12" one and chucked it out because I thought it was an antique! It sells for 300 odd on ebay! oh god

I'd love to buy this but could only offer a quarter of your asking price. This is only because they are a nightmare to get repaired. Ebay is your best bet mate!
dont suppose your after a modded 360?
