Aquadraw Pens for a Kids Charity

Hi folks,

I'm after as many aquadraw pens as I can get hold of for a kids charity.

They recently bought lots of the minimats that were on sale at amazon - but you only get 1 pen per packet -- so they need about 20 pens more, so that the children dont fight over them!!!!!!!! :)

Can anyone help me please?

You could try something like these http://www.artifolk.co.uk/catalog/products/calligraphy/pentel_aquash_water_brush.htm

I know these are quite pricey, however there must be cheaper versions available

It is only a small charity - was hoping to find something very cheap - or if any members had any floating around at the back of a cupboard :)

you can get replacement aquadraw pens direct from Tomy
http://www.tomy.co.uk/careline/spare-parts/toys-games-parts/
Hope this helps

Maybe if you email them and explain it's a charity and you need quite a few they may give you a discount....

Whats the charity? I'd be happy to throw in a few quid to "sponsor" some pens

It's just a small village playgroup in Kent - mostly run by volunteers for pre school kids.

Perhaps I shouldnt have posted in the FS/FT section - am I going to get into trouble for replies :)

PS Thanks for the help :)

I found these so hard to get replacements! I looked everywhere. Ended up paying £5 ish for 2 off ebay. Bit much for a bit of plastic IMO.

Best of luck finding some, my daughter would go mad if I gave up hers though sorry x

We lost our orginals with the big mat, gained a couple when we bought two minimat sets. Was amazed at the price of trying to get replacements (largely 'cause of postage charges on a small ticket item). Anyway, gave my kids a tiny tub of water and a paintbrush and it worked a treat. They seemed happy with it too (we'd stick it in the middle of a tray or on top of a towel for spillages).

Did think about paintbrushes - but didnt want lots of tubs of water everywhere - Health and Safety and all that

Thanks for the Wilkos idea - will have a word with playschool and see what they want me to do.
I have emailed Tomy as well to see if they will help :)

Will let you know what the outcome is. . . .

My daughter also uses a paintbrush for hers ,i bought one of those pots with lid that has a hole for the paintbrush which was really cheap from Wilkos . You could always try talking nicely to the manager of a store , i have found through my Pta work that they can be quite obliging.

surely Tomy will donate you some - they have always been generous in the past when I have sent back broken toys. It is worth a try.

Might not be the same now they no longer have a dedicated care line team. Those lovely generous people all got made redundant :x

Yes I found that last week - they were so great - I seriously think they were one of the best customer service teams around. They made me want to buy tomy as I knew I would have no problem with after sales.

Have had one issue subsequently and just got sent a replacmnet direct by sales - they did n't even want to see broken product so still worth a try.
