This is a fantastic motherboard and known to be a very good over clocker. Lots of features as listed on the manufacturers website. Doesn't have the wireless aerial though, not sure where it is as I've been using a wireless USB key.

Also have a Quad Core Q9300. This is an excellent 2.5Ghz Intel Quad Core processor made with the power saving 45nm technology. Renowned to be a good overclocker to 3.5Ghz +

Cost for both items is £175 which includes a new Intel heatsink fan. I'll knock a fiver off if you don't want this (in which case I recommend something like an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro if you want to overclock it - approx. £15 online).

Optional is 2GB of 1333Mhz OCZ DDR3 RAM with gold heatspreaders for £50.

It's currently in a PC under a desk at the moment so I can't get a great pic of actual product, lots online though, they all look the same.
Shipping/Payment:
Shipping is £8 next day special delivery or collection/delivery can be arranged from Leamington Spa or Nottingham.

how old is the motherboard and cpu. do you have reciepts for the 2 items. also up for any trades or trade + cash

How far have you overclocked the q9300 and at what volts (stable overclocks only as well)? I presume you're under water, so would be difficult to gauge what I would get, but the above information would be helpful.

Also what's your best price for the q9300?

I think the mobo is only about 9/10 months old. I should have the receipt somewhere. Should have receipt for the RAM too.
CPU is only about 4 months old, don't have a receipt for it though.

I've had it at 3.5Ghz on air, completely stable for gaming, video encoding etc. Idle's in mid 30's, when fully stressed goes to mid 50's. Can't remember the voltages off the top of my head. I have to say it's been brilliant underneath the Scythe Ninja Copper I've got with it at the moment.

Don't really want to split, if your very interested in just one item make me an offer though.

a review of the motherboard can be found here http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=8840
from what i remember the Q9300 wasnt the best as it wasnt as quick as the cheaper priced Q6600 the Q9300 had 6mb of L2 cache where as the Q6600 has 8mb and is still pretty much a very good clocker the Q9450 was the one to have as it had the 12mb cache and was a good overclocker. I think if you where thinking about a new board and cpu i would wait till after xmas till the i7 cpu's drop and more motherboards are available all in all not a bad price if thats what you want.

That is the board. And your wrong about the Q9300 being slower than the Q6600. It's on average about 7% faster clock for clock because of the newer architecture.

xbitlabs.com
Core 2 Quad Q9300 is faster than Core 2 Quad Q6600 even without a larger L2 cache, only thanks to architectural improvements introduced in Penryn processors, higher bus frequency and 100MHz higher clock speed. Moreover, there isn’t a single application where the old CPU would demonstrate higher results, and the overall performance advantage is about 7%, which is quite a lot.

ghost101 - I'll hold off for now thanks, that's a bit low and would rather sell together. Thanks.
