Regardless of SIM free or not you were the one who paid more than you needed to for a product. ALL of CPW's phones are 'SIM FREE'. If you choose to buy with an existing sim card or with £10 credit you will get the phone at a discounted rate. So anybody can walk into any CPW and get the phone you are selling and a £10 sim for less than you are selling the phone alone for.

Regardless of how much you paid anybody can get exactly the same thing from there local branch for less!

Alcatel OT 209 £2.95 when bought with £10 Virgin Credit or £34.95 when bought without not many people trying to sell them on here for £35??

Why dont you try returning the phone at a different CPW branch, they may provide a better customer service

I thought it was policy no refunds ?

about as clever as the staff in there

Was merely making a point that you may need to drop you price a little, the clever staff probably would of tried to explain this to your son at point of sale, but some people just do not want a sim free phone with credit??

Good luck with the sale

Can I exchange and downgrade for a cheaper model or is it only up ?

Basically if you were to exchange for the famous Alcatel OT 209 @ £2.95 and buy the £10 credit technically the outstanding balance will be refunded onto your bank card

"SIM free phones bought in store You can swap your SIM free phone for a different handset within 14 days of buying it.

You can swap your SIM free phone for a different handset within 14 days of buying it.
You can only swap your phone for a different model once.
You can't return your phone and get a refund."
