No interest in either of these - I'll consider offers :)

Or if someone has a cheap IDE enclosure to sell me, I'll keep them!

Sorry, that's the largest IDE drive - although I have a 1TB SATA drive that I might part with if interested.

That's for you to decide - my asking price is up there. But I'm not a hard man - we could probably meet just above the middle! :-D

I priced it at a reasonable price I think. Btw, you mentioned ebay and I think you'll find this model always goes for more than your offer. In fact, the last drive to finish went for a best offer of £28 (£20.01 + £7.99 shipping - item 250389140188). It was used also, but I notice he didn't give a manufacture date, so I suspect it's older than mine too.

i think your comments about e*** are right m8:) and would not argue with that at all
in fact i must agree with you
but we all like a bargain and we all pay what we feel we must, or can afford
i would'nt mind installing a drive into my db but only if the price is right
i took note of the age and description of the drive and think it might do the job for me
so i need to think about it
#19
If i shift my router and what not ill come back to you mate
#20
Ok, thanks both. The drive isn't going anywhere else in the meantime
#21
Btw i read that the router i have can act as a bridge....so i guess itd make a good solution for console ....if you ever feel like taking it, let me know :-D

do it for 18 recorded mate?

Will do - and in fact I have a 2nd drive same as this that I was keeping for an enclosure, but if I don't get one cheaply I might just sell the drive instead. Will let you know either way.

Ok mate cheers!
#32
payment sent m8

Payment refunded abr250 as it wasn't a gift payment as requested. (Don't worry, the refund cancels paypal fees both ways btw).

If you follow the instructions I gave carefully, the gift option is under the 'personal' tab in the send money page. Please select this before pressing send - thanks!
#34
done it correct this time m8:-D
i'll put it down to my age 70 on wed:-D
#35
Thanks - worked a treat this time. Many happy returns in advance!

And btw, there probably aren't many people your age buying tech goods on internet forums. Good for you for blazing a trail!

Yep, I have it - it's a WD800, date 04 July 2004

Out of curiosity, why is the serial number important?
#39
good to hear you still got.
wanted to check the (locking) compatability with my xbox using this http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/?p=list
i should have asked for the model no - not the serial. DOH!
btw your other drive was xbox lockable. that was a good deal.
£10 delivered on the 80gn liddle ol'me?
