I have a new, sealed, unregistered Xbox 360 Pro console for sale. I won it in a competition run by Microsoft so have no receipt, but I don't think this stops you from being able to use the warranty (from what I've read anyway... but I know nothing about these things so do correct me if I'm wrong)

I'm asking £190.00 including delivery. I'd prefer cheques due to Paypal fees, but will accept Paypal/bank transfer/postal orders also. I have 2000+ feedback on ebay if anyone would like to check it.

Any questions - ask away and I'll do my best to answer!

Not sure how to add pictures so here's links to them:

#2
Yep, I'm in Newcastle. It has HDMI.
#3
Any idea if this is the falcon chipset? Very interested if it is.
#5
Any news on this?
#6
Hi,

Sorry for the delayed response... I have no clue what falcon chipset is/means. If you let me know what to look for on the box I'll let you know.

Does anyone know what the best way to post this would be? By courier? According to the box I received it in from Microsoft, it's 8kg.

I would do £185 by bank transfer.

alarm bells should have started ringing after the bit about winning it in a comp and having no receipt. As per the forum rules did you not get his full address and landline number before going ahead with the purchase?

alarm bells should have started ringing when you dealt off the boards

Dealt off the boards ??
I made a offer on the boards, he stated he wanted £185 on the boards and i responded payment had been sent on the boards
What part of dealing on the boards didn't we do ??
I posted this to warn anyone else of this scammer, not to shot down in flames for being naive

I have not shot you down in flames, just another warning to others, you offerered on the board and you paid by the board, yet the op did not accept your offer on the board nor did he post payment received on the board, there is a few members on here, including me, who continually post warnings and we are the ones continually shot down, oh until some gets scammed of course

P.s I hope you get your money back:thumbsup:

how many more this month must be at least 10 scams in the last week......

good luck getting your money back

Dealt off the boards ??

You offered £180 delivered, the OP said that he would accept £185 delivered and then the next thing you post that you have paid.

I hope for your sake that you got the sellers home details, contact number and other things from the link at the top of this thread and as per the forum guidelines.?

Also it looks like you were paying via Bank Transfer then post that you have started a paypal claim. You must have spoke to the seller via PM to get his paypal details, and at that point no deal had been accepted in the thread, hence sassies comments about dealing off the boards which I would agree with looking at this thread.

Purely for curiosities sake, did you manage to get all the details out of the OP as per the guidelines at the top of this thread before parting with your money?

Cheers
Simon

Assuming that all this is true has the OP been Perma-banned now? If so can a mod change the title of the thread?

Seems that greyskittles has discussed the selling of it over @ MSE:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=654219

Eh, I haven't scammed anyone if you're talking about me?!! I haven't even sold this yet to anyone but I received a PM from someone, to which I replied to them on this thread. I also received another PM from someone saying they'd offer me £195 and asked for my bank details which is obviously someome trying to get me into trouble. I post on moneysavingexpert but I was asking for advice.

Feel free to ban me though FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING though. I just don't get what I've done.

Oh, and if anyone wants to see my ebay feedback let me know - I DO have 2100+ feedback, not a single negative. On ebay I would get £165 after fees and courier for this (if I sell it at £190 including delivery) hence why I would have preferred to sell it on here.

Perhaps the person who says they've been scammed not confusing me with someone else?

EDIT: The only PMs I received were from ubern00b (asking about a falcon chipset) and lumoruk obviously responding to the posts on this thread. Seriously, can the person who's alleged that I've scammed them let me know what the hell is going on?

EDIT #2: I've just PMed whirlers to ask how the hell I could have scammed them if I've never even received any PMs or anything from them! I know the rules and I know you're not allowed to trade off the boards. I THINK I know what's happened though -- someone has obviously emailed whirlers as he/she left their email on this post, and has PRETENDED to be me and he has sent them payment, but I swear to god it's not me.
#23
Damn. I just replied then deleted it by accident. Anyway...

If you think I'm taking the mick then fair enough, it's his word against mine, but it's the only explanation I can think of to explain why whirlers thinks I've scammed him/her. Either that or they're lying to get me into trouble. I swear on my mother's life I wouldn't do anything like that, I don't have the guts!

I would appreciate it if whirlers would come on here and tell me the NAME of the person who they've sent the money to, then I will PROVE that it is not me somehow! =/
#24
And apparentely I gloated over MSN... I don't even have MSN and I use Gmail not MSN/Hotmail. I feel sorry for whoever has been done over, but it was not me who took their money and ran.

Edit: I see whirlers refers to 'Jimmy' --- I'm female, or at least I was last time that I checked. I haven't given my email or paypal email address out to anyone on here apart from a guy who I sold a camera to a while ago, nor have I received a paypal dispute.

Hmmm!

Well sassie will have a red face in the morning, you sound genuine greyskittles.

where have i said greyskittles was a scammer, it was a warning to all that deals off the boards should start alarm belles ringing, greyskittles read here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/137509/thread-spoiler-bully-whatever-next/showpost.php?p=1486044&postcount=28

lumoruk, i have no red face this morning, for every member i help in not getting scammed i am proud of, if i get it worng then no-one has been scammed and i have an appology to make, as of yet i have not had too
#26
No it's fair enough, I understand why people might think I'm a scammer because whoever has done this has made it look like me. And fair enough if I am not believed, because I have no idea how to prove myself. I'm just a bit upset that a load of people think I'm a completely untrustworthy person now (thanks to whoever did this), including those on other boards I post at who have recognised my username.

Giving a off the board email in a public forum to do deal was a bit silly anyone could have gave you paypal address to send money to or was the deal done by pm?
