Advent 9415 Laptop purchased from Dixons. 1 Years guarantee from 27/06/2008.
* I said Core 2 Duo but it is a T2330 1.6Ghz Dual Core.
However the T2330 is based on the 64-bit Intel Core architecture, using Merom-2M core, exactly the same as a Core 2 Duo but with half the usual 2MB CPU cache.(so very marginally slower than a 'real' Core 2 Duo 1.6Ghz).

Has all the standard stuff. 2GB Ram, 120GB hard drive, networking, card reader, wifi and 15.4" screen.

Although this was sold as refurbised by Dixons it looks totally brand new with no blemishes whatsoever. Weight is 2.6KG and is in 'business black'. Boxed and with all packaging. It is possible it is refurbished but the CPU-Z reading shows the 2GB stick of RAM was made in February 2008. (one slot free!)

I purchased this on the spur of the moment for my sister who has a laptop with a dead screen. It turns out she is now happily using a separate monitor.

I have only used it to fully setup and test so it has the latest updates put on, a full Vista Premium restore DVD created (ISO image also left on the laptop too) and anti virus added. (Avira)

A very good student laptop.

**** I said 'local offers' but mant to say 'local sale'.

Seems like the laptop also has a microphone (to the left of the caps lock)

Where are you from?
#2
Can you post up some pics with your username beside the item and do you have any feedback from anywhere else ?
#3
trying to find a micro SD adapter to transfer a pic to the PC.
Will post when I find it.

As mentioned local is preferred so that buyer check goods and receipt on purchase.

Location is Hill Head but its possible I could physically deliver the item too.

NB just noticed a few other posts on items with silly offers.
I had better menton that the price is not negotiable although local delivery can be free.

edit - So an offer of £228 is no good. Please dont even try.
I am now thinking that this is is the wrong place to sell this item.

It will be sold elsewhere Wednesday. Will still post pics tomorrow.

edit - my ebay name is smartmediaco. (Its non trading, just called that as my very first ebay transactions were selling a batch of 2MB Smartmedia cards years ago)

Its a high res file.

The little squiggle to the left of the Caps lock is the microphone I assume, although not tried it.
Is this usual for a laptop to have a mic?

they dont have webcams either then lol.
Can assure you it is a mic symbol. There is no webcam on this on though.

The light of couse is a relection from the flash camera. I am sure someone will argue otherwise while offering £4.99

AS STATED NO OFFERS. If you find better elsewhere, well done.

I honestly have no idea what you are on about in the beginning of that reply :|

Anyway I will leave it then as have seen cheaper elsewhere
#11
i would buy it but i dont get payed until the 20th of june :( unless you want to traade for an asus eee pc?
#12
almost tempted by EEE but I'm stupid with my money and already have a Toshiba Libretto, the original EEE PC.

£10 deposit via paypal wil secure it. (or post me a cheque for same amount)

I will charge £5 for delivery, unless you can collect!. Which will be for a safe insured delivery service. (will cost me far more than that). So your total would be £234

so you mean the same spec? what about my offer
#22
This 229 delivered?
#23
229 and free delivery will be ok. Cheque or bank transfer though.

Paypal will make it too much of a loss and is not safe outside of an auction.
#24
paypal is always safe and it is the only way unless you can wait even longer for it to get transfered into my bank account 7-9 days, but i will take it at asking price
#25
Do you have any feedback anywhere?
#26
read the thread. My ebay feedback should be ok.

WE will exchange phone numbers addresses and speak of course too.

I once bought an item via Paypal ( thankfully small). I never received it and person refunded my money with a different account and then 2 days later reported fraudulent use of this 'other account'. My account got frozen for 2 weeks and I never got this refund.

Quite bizarre but I had voluntarily paid him an extra £1 for recorded delivery. Paypal could not give a stuff even though it was totally apparant that the two paypal idenities were the same/connected.

No deposit yet made by Cluffy so still for sale.
Am happy to wait longer Cluffy with the deposit.
#27
actually mate im sorry but ive changed my mind, ive had a look around and you can get a newer brand new latop with a greater spec for 300 so i will have to reduce my offer to 200 delivered or otherwise i will back out and good luck with the sale
#28
no problem. there are some decent laptops at that price.

Its why I used the word 'student'.

The laptop is a very good spec all round for someone on a budget.
#29
I really do want this laptop just couldnt pick up as a little bit too far and cant do bank transfer or paypal at the min
#30
you make it sound like you are offering a kit kat and two packets of crisps.

You could arrange instalments over a number of weeks but you would still have to wait until its paid for.
