Hi everyone!

For sale is a brand new fully boxed MDA compact III from T-mobile. I thought i'd put it up on here before resorting to eBay! It was only opened in the store when I got the handset, and then by myself to take pictures. It has never been switched on. I am happy to include the receipt I got, for warranty purposes.

Here are some pics:

The device was only released in the UK about 2 weeks ago, and seems set to be a big hit.

For anyone that doesn't know, here are the features of the phone/pda/sat-nav system :

"The Compact III has a mouse! The cursor is controlled by a miniature trackball on the front of the device and the silver dial surrounding the ball can be used as a scroll wheel. Features include a microSD card slot for expanding it's 128 MB internal memory, a 2 megapixel camera, a built-in FM radio tuner, Wi-Fi , Bluetooth and USB cable connectivity."

- The first device from a UK mobile operator to offer built-in GPS
- Web’n’walk™ device - Internet on the move (does that mean Wifi?!)
- Microsoft® Windows Mobile 5.0 software
- 2.5G and GPRS connectivity + Quad Band
- Bluetooth and USB connections
- Office applications: Word, Excel and Powerpoint mobile, and PDF reader
- 2.0 Megapixel camera
- Integrated audio, video, and FM radio players

Box contents:
- 2 pens
- Headset
- Battery + charger
- USB cable
- Carrying case
- 2 CD-roms with additional software
- User manual + start guide

A point to NOTE: In terms of Wifi capability, everyone seems quite ambiguous, but i'm going to say that there is NO WIFI. As far as i know, the device is WIFI capable, but T-Mobile have disabled it for the European market (hit a google search for more info)
BUT! I've also read that the issue is software related, and that with a few simple tweaks, the WIFI can be enabled (PM me for more info on the topic)

ALSO: There is varying information about whether it comes with a GPS programme or not, but the one I have is NOT the option with Co-pilot software. However, this (or tomtom software) is not hard to obtain, and I am happy to give more information on this via PM's. :)

I live in London, and am happy to meet up with the buyer for cash on collection. OR, I will post the device out by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (with insurance). My eBay ID is jcampwala, and I have 100% feedback with a score of 85. I havn't sold much on eBay, but have sold laptops in the past. I can accept PayPal, but would prefer cheque/bank transfer/cash.

In terms of how much i'm looking for, I think around the £280 mark is fair (with postage included at cost to me), but I am open to offers. Bear in mind, that on eBay, the Compact III is up for £350 Buy it Nows (with postage in top), and on average sells for around £280-£300 (plus postage on top) on eBay, but there are not many auctions going on!

Any questions, please ask, i will do my most to help!

Take care,

J

p.s. Although everyone probs has loads anyways, I'll include multiple T-Mobile sims so you can get started with the handset, and all the information I have on unlocking the handset and obtaining tomtom (or other) satnav software. If i manage, i'll even make a CD with STUFF on it so you can get going quickly with this beast of a device!
