A friend at my work has asked me to get them a netbook for their kid.
She is looking to spend no more than £200 & the netbook must be Brand new as it's a xmas prezzie.

No probs mate - mind that Packard Bell is now owned by Acer, so it's just really a re-badged Acer netbook at the end of the day.

I never knew that Packard bell was taken over by Acer.
The E-Machine was a no go as I've had 2 of them (laptops) & twice I've re-installed windows after deleting the partitions only to find they would then not boot by BIOS.

I've just bought one of these with a tenner off with the code 10POUND, so it's £190!

It was a surprise for me as well when I heard about it - apparently a lot of the hardware is re-badged and only has a couple of cosmetic differences.
