Bought from?

Hi,

Your text here

If you view the link above, I posted the phone in a wanted thread (along with some pictures) and the buyer was interested and offered 520 where as I was looking for 530, so I guess he missed out for 10 pounds and so ive now listed the phone in its own thread. Its a pay as you go phone so can be unlocked.

Payment methods, can meet up or BT or PPG. I can provide feedback from other places as well.

Thanks

I'd have snapped your hand off if you could get it unlocked from voda.

Is that something you can do? I don't mind paying a little if that is what they ask
#5
Vodafone won't unlock iphones :( within the contract period

I found this. I would need to factor this into the cost though. would you take 450?

If I was to unlock the phone, I would have to open the box and turn the phone on. Is that something that you are ok with? I can then get the phone unlocked for £20 for you. Thanks
#8
no need to open the box to unlock it,if vodafone confirms that its unlocked after your request, the buyer will only need to connect it to itunes to get the confirmation message.

first see with vodafone about unlocking a contract iphone.
if yes i am interested too

I would be interested yes, please contact them and let me know I would then be happy to pay £555 for an unlocked iPhone 32GB from you :) As long as the iPhone was unlocked by vodafone and done properly and not by jailbreak.

Let me know.
#10
I shall find out and let you know. Thanks

Right, I've spoken to Vodafone who have said they will unlock the phone. I have emailed them with the details and they will email back within 48 to confirm the phone has been unlocked. I will obviously show the email confirming that the phone has been unlocked.

I don't know how the rules work but I take it of the interests that I have had, one member has shown interest with an offer, so I take it Lewt has first refusal?

Thanks

That is good news, did they charge you?

It is the way it works here that first to show interest/make an offer should get first dips however you can ultimately deal with who you like.

I am happy to go forward for the price you asked in the OP however your lack of feedback here Is something we need to talk about. There are several options to make for payment. I am not 100% comfortable at this point to send £530 off without seeing the phone. Would you be prepared to post first? This happens here and on other forums for new people to send to established members for items of value. I understand if you are not comfortable with this though.

Where is your other feedback?

Also would you be prepared to provide long term contact details, full details and landline number? The only reason I ask is not a judgement on you at all it is just that there have been a few incidents of people blocking the phone after a few months or so. And any purchase I make I need to feel 100% sure about the seller, not just in the initial transaction but for the long term after it. I hope you understand i am not suggesting you would do this, but there are others who do, do it and ruin it for the rest of us.

Let me know.

Hi Lewt,

I understand where you are coming from and I would probably say the same thing to someone with no feedback on Hotukdeals. I have as mentioned, got feedback on another forum, which is very popular, by the name of Avforums. My username is Vivaki. Im not sure if you are member on those boards but I am a long term member and poster and I have 100% feedback in the classifieds. If you check my link near the top, the previous person who was interested in buying the iphone did his detective work as I had no feedback on HUD and was satisfied and put an offer in for the phone. I have an Ebay account as well which you can check. Where abouts are you from? I take it your not anywhere near manchester for a meet up? I can provide contact details and can give you my number as well. I will also scan and show you the email from vodafone that confirms the phone has been officialy unlocked.

Will get back to you as soon as I get that email from vodafone.

many thanks

Ok I have checked AV. I am closer to being happy :)

Let me know when you have the email.

I'm in northants I'm afraid.

Could you confirm the price we are going with?

Hi Lewt,

unfortunately vodafone wanted £20 for the unlock but I thought to myself, I will be able to sell an unlocked iphone 4 much easier than one locked to vodafone and so went ahead with it and I take it you wanted it unlocked anyway?
I recieved an email yesterday asking to confirm a few details like my mobile number etc so hopefully fingers crossed I should hear from there today or tomorrow by the latest (48 hour response)

Thanks
Vivaki

Hi,

Sorry I was away for the weekend and forgot to update you. Vodafone customer service has to be the worst CS ever. No reply to the email even though the "48 hour" response time was friday. Nothing in the email this morning. Going to ring them now and will update. Thank you for the patience

I spent 40 mins going from one department to another just to find out whats going on. Basically what vodafone are NOW saying is that I have to top up 20 pounds on a vodafone sim IN the iphone and then they will unlock it. I can scan/forward you the email that I received from vodafone. I told them it was a gift and I didnt want to open the iphone but they said its the only way they will be able to do it and they said I can either get a sim from a voda store or they can send one.

So I think the way forward, if you like, is that I can sell the phone to you for 535 pounds. You will need to top up 20 pounds and voda will unlock the phone for you. The only reason why I am saying this is because the phone is still sealed but if you want, I can open the seal, put the voda sim inside and unlock it and then send it to you.

Let me know what you think
Cheers

I would prefer it to be sent unlocked to be honest mate. Could you do that and let me know once it is unlocked? I'm not fussed about waiting a while but I need one unlocked.

Hope that's ok,
#23
Hi, Thats fine. I shall unlock it and let you know as soon as. Thanks
#24
I'm also interested if the phone can be unlocked. I will offer the requested price of £535 and can collect and pay in cash as I'm from Manchester.
#25
Lewt, just to update, I receieved voda sim today and will be opening the seal and inserting the sim just to top up the phone and get in unlocked and pack the phone back. All box contents will remain packed inc. charger as I already have one, so only the iphone will be taken out and the protective cases will remain on the screen and the back. Are you definatley going to be buying this once its unlocked? The only reason I ask is, if I open the iphone and for any reason you decide not to buy it, then I would have opened the phone for no reason as I am trying to sell it sealed. Thanks

Atambo, the phone can be unlocked as confirmed by vodafone via email and telephone conversation. Would you need the phone unlocked or will you be willing to do that yourself and buy it sealed from me?
#26
I prefer the phone to be unlocked by you to avoid any problem if I try to unlock it afterwards.
#27
yeh no problems. Its pretty much sold to Lewt anyway (has been since I started the thread) but would just like him to confirm the go ahead. Thanks anyway
#28
Hi Lewt,

not heard from you, please could you confirm your interest?

Thanks
#29
Ive left Lewt a PM to reply but still not heard anything and he has been active on the site as well. What do I do?

give him the opportunity to reply , say a few days as not everyone is online all the time .. then offer it for sale again .. plus I would refer the matter to a mod as no doubt you have gone to some trouble to sort the phone out for the buyer
#31
would u be up for trading it for a htc desire hd?
#32
is it already unlocked?
#33
Right, No reply from Lewt to PM's or messages on the thread. I have been quite busy recently and thats why the thread has been quite but I would like to have this back up for sale as Lewt has done a no show.

So its £535 as it is sealed or £555 officially unlocked from vodafone (and will take 48 hours)

Thank you

I have a brand new bb bold 9000, can trade with cash on top?
banned#37
Also would u be willing to send first as u have no feedback on here and it is a high value item
#38
Hi, not really interested in that phone. Also, I have provided feedback to two members who were completely satisfied with my feedback so i wont be able to post first but thanks anyway.
#39
Vivaki can I ask how much you paid for the phone? I see you bought a 16GB and a 32GB Iphone from Vodafone on pay as you go at the same time, so wondered if you took advantage of the 10% off code mentioned in this deal http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/iphone-4-16gb-vodafone-pay-as-you-g/754003 and therefore paid just £513for the 32gb yourself?

I remember you advertising your phone for sale on avforums a couple of months ago, before they got rid of their classified phones section, at about the same time as the above deal was running.

Also people on that thread were able to get their iphones unlocked for free so that info may help some potential buyers.
