Hi there,

I have a brand new, sealed, copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Prestige Edition for sale.

Item was purchased by a friend, as a present, but turned up late. Being the type of person they are, they went and bought one from a said auction site, in order to have it in time for the birthday.

I have taken item from them now, and just trying to reclaim money paid, which was £119.99, from HMV. Proof can be shown.

Pictures, if required, can be put on later today, when home from work.

Looking for £119.99, plus postage, which will be about £12.50 to the UK.

Any questions, please ask.

Thanks.

Correct, has night-vision goggles and Hardened Edition of the game.

Can't you just return it?

I could, but then i'd be at a loss, as isn't free postage, so thought i'd try here first.

Kinda pointless comment, if you have no interest in item. Have checked this out, and via Parcel Force 48, the cost is £12.50. You obviously don't realise the size and weight of box, so please refrain from pointless comments, especially if no interest in buying!

Cheers.

+1 HMV are really good with returns (you can just take it in-store if ordered online) so would probably be easiest if you have no joy on here

Seems reasonable to me. Bearing in mind that the £8-odd courier services only offer insurance up to the value of £50.

Thanks for that mate. I didn't realise you could take it instore. I was sure i read on website you couldn't, no? Also, would it just be credit note i'd get, as wouldn't want a credit note to that value, for there, lol!

Eh, was purchased online, and you don't get an invoice with them. So, my 'proof/receipt' would have to be my order confirmation from online i think.

Cheers.

Well if you were, you would have said something bit more constructive, else asked about any reduction or something (of which there isn't anyway). Now though no doubt, your just going to say,:

'I was intersted, but not after your attitude', blah, blah, blah. So, best just to leave it mate, as your bumping my thread, and won't be buying. Thank you.

Once ebay & paypal fees get taken and you post the item surely you'll only just about make £120 anyway!

I've got the PS3 version mate, and nightvision goggles seem quite good, for what they are, lol!

Don't think they are anything top notch, but as far as being able to see in the dark, with a few settings and stuff, they are absolutly fine, yeah.

Think the true value is in the whole package meant to be though, not just the goggles though.

Thanks Flodd. Unfortunately (for R0N4LD) my recently purchased Xbox 360 console is coming with "...Modern Warfare 2" (and as I already have it [still sealed] for the PS3) I'm not as keen to spend another £120 on the Prestige Edition (now).

Good luck with your sale though R0N4LD.

Have you tried CEx or eBay?

BFN,

fp.

PS. "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Flodd again"

I really must get out more :)

Thanks, will check it out.

Some are cheaper i know, but don't insure it to the value, which then takes price back up. Will have a look though. Thanks.

so you made almost nothing then dur...its why i dont sell on ebay as i have to compete with people who cant/shouldnt sell......at a rough estimation of cost 120+ ebay FV cost approx £15 + +insertion fee min 20p + paypal approx £7 + postage £10 std parcels (parcel2go were more with insurance) , so you made a loss unless they didnt use paypal and / or you didnt have to post it/
i sold one for £185 and kept one, have one for sale but will return it to hmv before the returns time runs out..only wanted 3 so that mine didnt cost much more than the game rrp

id be careful using any postage courier....parcel2go portal is fine but be aware of insured amount and cost of more insurance...RM are a pain but at least they do usually pay up if things go wrong

you can trade in your CODMW2 xbox 360 (assume ps3 is the same ) at blockbusters for £30, then the prestige one will be less than £100 - i bought a copy of CODMW2 in makro and thus made a fair profit of £10

Thread remains closed. You received an instruction not to sell any games this time last year. That restriction is still in place. Infraction issued.

Oh - you also have this listed elsewhere and that listing is still live despite your thread being on here - Another infraction.
