Cheap, roadworthy car - anything considered

My car has finally reached the end of it's useable life.

Unfortunately the position I currently find myself in is that I can't afford to replace it with a newer, more reliable model for at least a month or 2.

For this reason, I need a (VERY) cheap little runabout, something which can get me from A to B without going via RAC!!

I'm not in the least bit fussy, happy to consider anything so long as it's roadworthy and low cost. Ideally I'd like at least 2 months tax and MOT, however depending on the car and price I can be flexible.

I'm based near York, however happy to pick up from anywhere that I can get to by train/bus.

Let me know what you have!! :)

Many thanks in advance...if somebody can help keep me on the road for the next couple of months you'd be doing me a huge favour.
Let me know what you're looking for in terms of money/trade and I'll see what I can do. As cheap as you can please :)

Quick bump...I'm off to look at an Ibiza tonight in the £300 bracket, but still on the lookout for anything else!
You will need to be more specific or this thread will get locked due to too many bumps. YOu will need to give an idea of price etc
A mini ?? can get one for a grand
Difficult to be specific as I interested in anything so long as it's cheap.

Will say £400 or less if that helps at all.
Morning bump ;)
Think this is my last bump now? :)
Best bet is ebay go buy it now then newly listed they usually come up half decent for £250 - £300 with abit of mot n tax be quick though as they usuallly go within minutes :-(
