My current Ram is DDR2, will this work?
#3
the graphic card has nothing to do with your pc memory, it has its own memory.
#4
Works fine with mine which is DDR2 too

This is a very nice card, used to have in my pc until i've now got a 3870 x2, (amazing 0.0) although, when it comes to the later games its barely keeping over 30fps, and on crysis it wont play with any AA (full AF) - however novatech are selling this card for £60 new (warranty etc) so might wanna revise price a tad.

good luck with sale

#6
Well I'm interested but like mentioned below, price is too high.
#7
Can't see the same card sold in novatech. Club3d's sell for at least £70 from what I know.

Does it require a double slot with the extra heatsink??? and is there a native HDMI slot or is it via DVI adapter?

Cheers
#10
Had this ASUS and returned it as it is noisy and the cooler is no match for the newer ones (like the one on the Club)

Yes it does. It has double DVI so HDMI is either with a DVI-HDMI cable or an adapter.
#12
What does it mean by requiring a double slot?

An empty slot next to the PCI-E slot due to the cooling solution being a bit large.

The latest ATI cards run much cooler with this type of fan.
#14
Empty PCI slot or just space?

either... no actual need for the 2nd slot, it's just a 'fat' card

Thanks, sadly I don't have the space for a double and for the curious person

This is a double slot

#17
Ah I see. Well I have space for that lol.

Unfortunately, this is just out of my budget.
#18
Oh by the way, my monitor isn't DVI, can this monitor work with VGA or not?
#19
It can with either a DVI-VGA cable or a simple adapter (might have a spare one)
#20
Well my monitor is normal VGA as far as I'm concerned. Will upgrade it soon but not yet!

Unfortunately, this card is too expensive for me even though it looks good.
#21
What is the power consumption of this, what size PSU would it require please?
#22
40-60W so essentially it will work with any PSU
#23
Are you interested in trades? I'm really tempted by this
#24
What's the lowest you will go for this, payment via BT thesis. I really want to buy this but need the price dropped a bit.

Damn. If you could accept £40, I'd pay you immediately via BT if you so wish. That really is budget for me, was looking for a card at about £25 but £40 is the most I can swing to right now.

If you change your mind please let me know. I am also looking at the 8800 I'm offering for in another thread so whichever I can get to be honest.

Thanks.
#32
Sorry but you'll have to look for a budget card with that budget. Good luck with the 8800.

Got already 2 and will probably sell them later this week.

Thanks for the free bump ;-)
#35
What's the lowest delivered you can do bud? Could we meet somewhere in the middle from £53 and £40?
#36
I have already reduced my asking price and offered £50 delivered with BT.

I can assure you that these cards are worth every pound.
#37
I believe you, I just can't afford it lol. Nevermind, thanks anyway. If this does come down nearer to £40 then £50, please let me know.
#38
Last offer £48.

Otherwise good luck with your search.
#39
Thanks thesis, I guess I'll have to look elsewhere. Can't go past early 40s, about £42 would be my highest.

Good luck with the sale.

Let me know if you change your mind mate. Seems like a great card, wish I could afford it. Maybe I can if the prices drop soon as expected!
#40
No problem.

Will close the thread as soon as my listing is ready for the 'bay.
