Right then i decided to make a fresh post for this as the old one was missing pics and got a bit full with posts.

My new job requires me to be a lot more familiar with Mac OS than i currently am so im looking to get rid of my newly acquired laptop and pickup a mac of some description instead, ideally im after a laptop (powerbook/ ibook) but will consider an imac or other. If anybody is interested sale wise then i've just checked the dell website and this is currently weighing in at £536.99, spec has been set and pasted over from dell.

AMD® Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL50
Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic - English (will come with genuine xp pro fresh install and genuine xp home sealed and unused)
1 Year At-Home Service Package (has collect and return parts and labour warranty until february 2008 )
14.1" Wide Screen WXGA (1200 X 800) TFT display
1024MB 533MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM (2x512)
60GB (5400rpm) SATA Hard Drive
256MB ATI ® Radeon® Xpress 1150 HyperMemory
Fixed Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Drive including Software
4 cell Lithium-Ion Battery (29 Whr)
Dell Wireless 1390 802.11b/g Mini-PCI Card (for AMD Processors)
No Carry Case
No Security/Anti-Virus Protection - English (will come with perpetual mcaffe full version)
Microsoft® Works 8.0 - English
No Photo Organising & Sharing Software/No Photo Editing Software

As we all know prices on dell fluctuate but this is the price as it stands today.

as said i ideally want a trade for a mac but if that doesn't look likely i may stick a price tag on this depending on interest. (so no posts telling me to state a price please, i will when it is for sale for a price)

This laptop is in pristine condition with not a single mark on it. Only a few months old and never left the house.

I think you will find it hard to get much more. See this thread for a brand new one of similar spec (larger screen and HD) for £387.

At the end of the day nobody is bothered what you paid for it, it is a second hand laptop.

Sorry if this sounds harsh but that's the truth.

well for a start i dont remember asking for offers, im not expecting new prices, im expecting a trade for a used mac. mods feel free to clean the thread of non trade related posts. (once more a post on this forum gets *******ised by people.)

Please state a price you're willing to accept. Thanks.

as stated originally, this is a trade ad not a sale ad, when i said i may stick a price tag on if theres no trade interest, it's my intention to scrap this 'for trade' ad and replace with a 'for sale' ad posting an asking price as per forum guidelines. is this acceptable rayman?
