DELL 1525 with 3yr warranty £410.00

Selling my dell laptop as i just fancy something different, possibly a netbook.
This laptop is only a couple weeks old and was a replacement sent to me by dell after they lost my previous 1525 when it was away for repair.
It has A pretty decent spec and i will post the service tag so its easier to view and and save my typing it all out. It does include A ruby red lid and also 18month sub to macfee. i uninstalled it as i dont like it but the disc is included.
Any questions please ask.
Shipping/Payment:
ideally collection is preferred, but postage will be available at your cost and your choice of service.

Sorry I just realised that I didnt read it properly thats why I deleted my post.

I got confused as It looks excatly the same and had excatly the same specs as dell vostro 1500. Im pretty sure it has a 8400 or 8600 gts which would attract mroe people as that is top graphics card for a laptop have you tried downloading the latest graphics driver as it may not show up on the specs unless its downloaded.
#11
i know the laptop well, it was a replacement for my previous 1525. it only has integrated graphics.

3year warranty? truelife? red lid? bluetooth? webcam? 9 cell battery? 2ghz core2duo?

Closest spec i could find was £372 taking into acc the current offer of free delivery and £55 off. It only has a 1year warranty, no mention of bluetooth, no 9 cell battery.

Hi mate am interested in this - you say your after something different? I have a Philips X56 Freevents ultra portable laptop available that I would like to trade for your Dell laptop.

The specs for mine are:

12.1" WXGA gloss widescreen LCD screen
T5600 1.86GHz intel core 2 duo processor
1024MB RAM (upgradeable)
CD-RW/DVD+-RW
Intel wireless LAN (802.11g)
56K modem
80GB 2.5" sata HDD
Card reader
Microphone
Stereo speakers
1 x firewire
3 x USB
1 x express card slot
VGA port
Windows Vista Premium (will also include XP Media Centre if required)
Carry case
Optical mouse

Fantastic condition, with only a minor rub mark on the touch pad mouse where it has been used. It's extremely portable and lightweight and is a very powerful unit. Bought it new for £600 last year.

Also saw that you wanted some broken Sony Ericsson phones in a thread of yours a while back? I could include a Sony Ericsson w850i which just has a broken case (screen is fine) to sweeten the deal?

Let me know what you think. Many thanks in advance :)

i appreciate you may have paid £600 last year, but in my eyes it really doesn't compare spec or value wise to my dell. I had a philips x57, and i know that model was a rebadged twinhead, and they are the same as advent laptops. Exactly the same. this may or may not be true of your model but im afraid i wouldn't take the risk.
But thankyou for the offer.

I wasn't talking about a straight trade if that was your inclination - I am prepared to add a bit of cash on top

Just let me know, if not then not to worry and cheers for your thoughts

oh. i see. what sort of cash on top are we talking? i am at the moment researching the philips, just to check on its reliability and who actually makes it. because i know one thing, philips dont make it lol.

I've never had a problem with it - its been very loyal to me :) I bought it originally as I had a lot of travelling to do, but now I am based in one location and so don't need one so small. I used it primarily for compiling very large spreadsheets and files with complicated formulae in them and the machine used to handle them very efficiently indeed.

I'm not sure to be honest about the cash on top, I haven't got a huge amount to spare at the moment! I also have (as well as the w850i), a 80GB iPod classic that may be added. Let me know what sort of deal you would be happy with and we can work from there
#24
i been thinking over this. Your philips is out of warranty isnt it? I had a look at ebay for completed listings and there isnt much really to gauge a price. i think its value to me is only about £200. So i dont know if thats something you can work with.

I would have valued it at £300 and was going to offer you around £100 cash or a combination of the other things that I have mentioned. I know its over a year old but it hasn't depreciated by 66% in that time! Let me know what you think mate

lol. um no. they are lower spec, no truelife no webcam, no bluetooth, no 9 cell battery, slower processors, smaller hdd, and i expect only 1 year warranty. plain black lids too it looks like. hard to tell as they using pics for inspiron 6400's.
So i will decline your offer. And to be honest i dont want offers. Its asking price or equiv.

This [ebay - 190254209044] may be the closest spec on ebay, still £419 plus postage, still has smaller hdd and battery.

i disrespectfully withdraw my offer , oh er lol

How flexible are you with your price Shane? I've only got about £100 to spare but put together with the laptop that I have for sale then maybe we could come to an agreement?

i'll be honest. im not that flexible at all. if i keep it, im covered for 3 years with the warranty. Yours, although its a cracking little laptop, has no warranty at all.

No, but I've now put the laptop under the house contents insurance - I think it worked out about an extra £3 per month. Doesn't solve the issue if it goes wrong but gives you security should something happen
