hmm £1000 with no warranty and not even a dual core?

unlikely

http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&kc=N4XXPS03&l=en&oc=N06XPS5&rbc=N06XPS5&s=dhs&sbc=ukdhsftdppnotebook3

not even a special offer and its already miles better at £1,099 - £99 more

well if it sells it sells...if not then i will keep using it.....I know what i paid for it and it wasn't cheap.

im not trying to thread spoil but people dont realise pcs and laptops depreciate so fast its unreal.

u paid £1,500 long time ago yes

but in todays market its worth around £600 tops

sorry

also the fact that it has no warranty for a laptop is very risky indeed
#5
I very much doubt its only worth £600 tops

Maybe £800 tops

And why the no warranty is because i only took out the 1yr thing with dell which is now expired. I will warranty this laptop to NOT be DOA and to be in FULL working order but thats about it.

i wouldnt giv you 400 for this, the cpu is dated and its knackered. imagine it like a VW touareg, it loses like 80 pounds a day lol

I have one of these machines with a similar spec and to be honest, I think I'd be lucky to get 600 pounds for mine which is why I'm not selling it. As others have mentioned, the market has moved on very quickly putting the XPS quickly out of date. Plus a machine like this without a warranty is a risk, the 6800 Ultra runs hot and if it blows it's not cheap to replace.

Good luck with the sale though, ultimately it's worth what someone will pay for it - I think it's a superb machine with one of the best cooling systems in a laptop (quiet yet efficient), the batterylife is reasonable for the type of machine and it has a good selection of ports.

Why is that ? I've got a Dell laptop and Dell Dexktop and have not had any trouble with either.

Now theres a lovely grown up blanket statement with no rationalle :-)

I have had load of PC's & laptops, some of them Dells & am currently using a dell laptop & Desktop & never had a problem. Loads of friends family have Dells & again never a problem.

Its a bit like saying dont trust bearded blokes. :giggle:
