I have for sale a number of brand new and genuine interactive reading CD-ROMs, specially designed to follow the English National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2.

These popular Oxford University Press stories about Biff, Chip, Kipper and Floppy the dog have been a fun way for children to learn to read for over 18 years (I myself read these when I was back in school), and have proven to be a successful method of encouraging reading in the early years. Now, these interactive CD-ROMs take learning to read to a whole new level, with voice prompts, and interactive scenery, along with accompanying activities, such as word games to increase your child’s reading power further.

There are five different CD-ROMs available, which may be bought individually or together at a discount as an entire series on a first come first served basis whilst stocks last.

Stage 1 and 1+ Click and Explore and First Talking Stories (KS1 Years 1-2)

This CD contains 18 talking stories, each offering three reading techniques:
Ask the computer to speak any word, by clicking on individual words which the child can not read themselves.
Click on and listen to an entire sentence.
Have the entire story read automatically.

Stage 2 Talking Stories (KS1 Years 1 - 2)
Stage 3 Talking Stories (KS1 Years 1 - 2)
Stage 4 Talking Stories (KS1-2 Years 2 - 4)

Each of these three CD-ROMS contains 12 talking stories along with activities for your child to support the learning process.

The stories are grouped into two groups:
Trunk Stories – these have their own word, sentence and text level activities
Wren Stories – these have their own sentence building activity

Again, these stories have three reading techniques:
Ask the computer to speak any word, by clicking on individual words which the child can not read themselves.
Click on and listen to an entire sentence.
Have the entire story read automatically.

Sound Stories (KS1 Years R-2)

This CD contains 30 talking stories, which are invaluable for teaching and reinforcing letter sounds. There is a story for each letter of the alphabet plus four digraphs (ch, sh, th, and wh), and each has a listening and a spelling pattern game.

All of these CD-ROMs may be run on Mac or Windows based systems, with at least 64MB RAM, a sound card, and a minimum 16bit colour graphics card.

As seen on Biblio.com (http://www.biblio.com/details.php?dcx=133515453&aid=frguk), these CD-ROMs normally cost over £117 individually. I am offering them at an individual value of £25, or all 5 for £100 (that's one absolutely free!).

Grab a bargain whilst you can and make learning to read fun for your child.
Shipping/Payment:
Preferably payment by paypal. Cheques accepted and items will be sent out once payment is cleared. I will try to mail on day of order, provided that I receive the order before 4.:30pm (so I can post it on time). In any case, expect your item within 3 working days of having ordered it

I also read Biff & Chip back in school! If my little girl was older I definitely would have considered these :)

I am really interested in these but a bit short of cash at the moment - I could a £60 ELC gift card as a trade. I would be interested in taking the whole set.
Let me know.

Hi Tracy,

Unfortunately, I have no use for the ELC card as I have no children myself. I do have quite a number of the cds though, and I would be willing to send you the CDs individually as and when you have the cash for them with free postage and if you do end up buying 4 then I'll just send you the 5th free with it. That way you still get the set and pay the same amount. How does that sound?

I would be looking for the set as a whole as as have 3 kids all of different ages & you can't give to one & not the other or I would have a riot on my hands! Let me know if you lower your price - Thanks

have you still got these? i am interested in the lot thanks

Hi, I teach children with special needs and we use the Oxford Reading Tree. I would be very interested in buying the whole set at the stated price. Resources are so expensive for this reading scheme and the CD Roms are very motivational.
