i want to sell my computer HP screen Emachines tower and Emachines keyboard with speakers. the tower does not switch on but the screen and keyboard work fine.a bit of problem with speakers.

Do you have the screen size and model numbers please for the screen and tower the spec of the tower processor speed, ram, hard drive size etc. also where are you based please.

power unit has fried the mobo common fualt with emachine sneed a skt 478 mobo and a new psu ...

Blimey! you want £80 for a broken PC with a CRT monitor which quite frankly these days, you cant give away.

Just trying to point out that you cant expect £80 or anything approaching that. Especially if you dont post any specs as to what the broken PC contains (e.g RAM, gfx card etc).

Why not post the specs of the PC, as you were asked to do earlier in the thread, and then people can work out for themselves whether £80 for a broken PC with a CRT is worth that much. Or they can offer you what they feel is a realistic price.

All everyone knows at the moment is that you're selling what could amount to little more than a case, a keyboard and a CRT. No-one knows what size HDD you have, what type of graphics card is installed, what processor you have (other than it is a socket 478), or what memory you have installed. Furthermore, no-one knows whether any of these components still work after the motherboard was fried.

So I think csiman's comments were fully warranted.

Sorry if you think otherwise.

ok can i just add these machines are known for fried mobo's due to power unit being a bit wild. could be just psu could be mobo

(this shouldnt be removed as it is inportant info)
