Hi there,
I'm looking to trade a Blackberry Pearl 8100 (UNLOCKED - using a 'I-Smartsim') for another phone that could be used upon the THREE network. Ideally I would be looking for a Nokia N95 of something like that, preferably another Smartphone?
This Blackberry Pearl 8100 is in great condition. Included with this phone is a Mains charger and a USB cable. This phone has also been updated yesterday to the latest settings from the official Blackberry website. It has 'Documents to go' installed which allows you to view/edit/author Word and Powerpoint files (I've never used this application but I see it upon the phones menu).
The only thing worth mentioning is that some of the silver paint has worn off upon the top of the phone [which is pretty normal for this phone] and has happened through light use. The rest of the phone is in great condition. (here's a pic) -

If you don't have a Nokia N95 then let me know what you would be willing to trade and I'll respond accordingly.
Thanks a lot,
k750man.

This price includes delivery by First Class Recorded Delivery :)

Is it locked to o2?

Would you consider a SE W960i?

Sorry looking to trade really, but if nothing suitable is available I may be willing to sell.
It's an excllent phone and I'd keep it and use it myself if I could use it with my new Three contract sim card :(

Thanks for the interest though :)

It is locked to O2 but the 'I-Smartsim' takes care of this and I have been using it with a Virgin / T-Mobile sim card for a while now with no problems.

Yes I would be interested in your SE w960i. As previously stated I would need your phone to be able to work upon the THREE network? Also, I'm not too sure as to how to proceed with this as you don't have any feedback at all upon this FS/FT forum.

As a start to correspondence could you describe the condition of your phone, it's network lock (if any?), any accessories that would be included and post any pictures of your phone with your username and date written next to it?

I would hate to send my BB and get nothing in return (no reflection upon you [obviously] it's just that this forum is a bit anonymous without any FS/FT feedback to go on :?

Thanks for the interest though and if you can tell me a bit more about your phone then maybe we can work something out?

If anyone else has any smartphones that they may trade then keep them coming :)

Sorry this is irrelevant to this thread; but OP could you please give some advice on the i-smartsim, as was just looking at one on dealextreme but unsure as too how it works? Does the i-smartsim have to stay attached to whatever sim goes into the phone or do you just put it in and then you can put any network sim in?

Thank you very muchm Repped ... Just wonderin wether or not to buy one of these thats all

i use a very similar sim in my n81 and it works a treat, it has double sided tape on one side to help keep it in place with sim card when fitting. You do need to cut the sim as shown in pic, but it doesnt harm the sim card at all

I bought my 'I-Smartsim' from Dealextreme and my first one had 'I-Smartsim 2008' printed upon it and it didn't work with my Blackberry Pearl 8100 and worked with a Sony Ericsson k750i (see the picture above ).
Since then, I bought another three to use with Sony Ericsson k750i's and none of these three have worked with my k750i but all have worked with my Blackberry Pearl 8100.
This second batch had 'I-Smartsim' ONLY printed upon them without the '2008' text.
I think that these unlock sim cards are a bit hit and miss and Dealextreme sometimes sell cards that are the same as the pictures upon their webstie and then at other times they sell other ones which are different, but these different ones work with my Blackberry ???

I hope this makes some kind of sense?

:stocking: :gift: (thought I'd be festive !)

That's right - no harm to the sim card as the gold coloured contacts are the only functional part :)

Incidentally - anybody interested in swapping their phone ?

Ok, not much interest in the trade upon here :(
Thus moving onto selling this Blackberry now :)

First refusal goes to 'benhorne' and then 'Fatboyneverslim' you're next ? (I'm trying to abide by forum rules?). I will give these two HUKd'ers 1 hour to respond (ie- until 16:00 on the /2/1/2009) and then it's open to others and this will be sold to the first person to agree to my asking price of £75 delivered (First Class Recorded Delivery)?

Thanks for the interest folks :)

This offer sounds good. Well go to PM to conclude :)

EXPIRED - This trading business is too risky for me - I'll just punt this phone elsewhere.
This has no reflection upon 'mrjk' who was First Class and honest in every way but the thought of posting my phone and waiting for the other phone is just too risky for me.
Sorry :(
