I want to trade by Nokia N95 8GB for a normal Nokia n95.

The 8gb is just worth too much for me, and I would like a cheaper phone. I also like the idea of having a seperate microsd slot.

Would be looking for some cash on top of the Nokia n95.

Anyone got a Nokia n95 they want to trade for a nokia n95 8gb ?
I can post pics if needed

Thanks

*** I AM NOW SELLING THIS***

LOOKING FOR £250 POSTED.

Its Unlocked, no network logos on the casing at all, was an o2 upgrade.
All boxed with everything

Certainly would - I have a silver n95 with a 4gb micro SD.

One bad point - I used to have a black housing kit on it, and to match I painted the area above the numeric keypad black. I now have the silver housing back on there and it looks a little odd, however it looks fantastic with the black kit on...

You can see the area I've painted in that pic above - usually the area above the keys is silver..

What network is it on? Is it unlocked? Whats the condition like? Any scratches on the screen ? or casing?

Any pics? I'll post some pics of the n95 8gb soon. cheers

hi what sort of money you thinking on top ?? i have n95 unlocked few little marks but not on screen all boxed with bits

It's on T-mobile. I think I could get it unlocked if you want, unless you happen to be on tmobile also?

The screen is in perfect condition. There are some scratches on the silver OEM casing but if you want I can replace this part of the housing with a brand new bit. Ill do some pics in a sec.

They're the same. OEM just means it's an original nokia part.

Had it for about 9 months.

Battery lasts about 1 and a half days usually. Obviously depends on usage. It's been miles better since I upgraded to v20 (its now on v21 - that update isn't actually available on most UK handsets yet - I've changed the product code in this phone so it can receive the latest updates whenever they're available on Nokia updater).

The slider seems fine. Very solid. The bottom right hand corner is ever so slightly looser than the left side. This is a common problem as you know but it seems to only suffer from it slightly. It still feels very solid indeed.

Edit: also have the box and original accessories ect.

PIcs now with the silver bit in;

Yeah those scratches are on the old faceplate.
I'd have to get the new OEM faceplate in a couple days.

Alright cool, so if we can confirm this as a deal I'll go ahead and order a new faceplate.

Also, where are you located and I forgot to ask - is your phone unlocked?

Cheers

Alright cool. Should also add that I've requested the unlock code for my phone (was going to do it eventually anyway) but it could take up to 28 days to turn up, although typically it should take less than a week and its also not unheard of to turn around in 48 hours. Just so you know.

You did a great job there... did you say you painted it yourself?

For that, I will give you a peek of my baby (beibei)

Lol, nah I just painted the area above the keypad. The rest was a black kit from HK.

Is the N95 8 gig really that much better than the standard one? I just got a standard sim free one brand new and popped a 4 gig microSD card in it and it's great. Runs tomtom spot on too. What are the main improvements other that the 8 gig memory?

They are not major changes though really are they. The screen looks better and battery life looks better but the memory side of it is not really better as the lack of an sd slot is a down side especially with how cheap sd cards are now. The sat nav chip is the same so tomtom will work exactly the same.

I don't think I could justify the extra cash on top for something so similar really. Both nice phones though.

Ok no prob , the more ram is the big thing, means you can open webpages with lots of pictures etc.

I only really text, make calls, use the tomtom and the camera. The wifi/internet is of no use to me at all, just too small and fidly for internet/email use.

The main reason for getting it was it being a nokia and having a camera as good as my k850i. I hated the way the k850i worked and missed nokia hence the N95.

I would have no problem owning the 8gig version but I just do not personally think it's worth so much more money for it just to do the same as mine is already.

Actually I might have to pull out of this one for now. Think a Windows Mobile PDA type thing might suit me a bit better...
