I am selling my 32GB factory unlocked Apple iPhone 4. I bought an iPhone 4 over Christmas which broke (would no longer turn on) so I went to the Apple Store in Covent Garden for help (on 20 January 2010). They couldn’t fix it either so they replaced the handset with a brand new one. The staff helping me has activated the phone (so it is ready to be used) but it is not yet registered. I was told when you connect to iTunes for the first time it will ask you for registration details which will be lodged against the handset and Apple’s database.

As such the phone I am selling is brand new, and Apple warranty applies to it. Note: I have used this handset to make a few calls but have not downloaded any apps or synced it in anyway.

The phone is in pristine condition. I applied the 3M Vikuiti screen protector and back protector to the iPhone straight after the Apple staff peeled off the original plastic cover. The protectors (worth £15) are non-sticky so if you wish to discard them (or reposition them better than I have done hastily in the shop), you can peel off without any residue.

I have decided to sell because the iPhone is not as flexible as I need. This phone, brand new, sells for £599. I am offering it for £550 (or O.N.O) and will include original box, charger and USB cable, as well as white earphones, manual, original SIM card ejector tool, black bumper case, soft pouch in black with Apple logo, and an additional generic USB cable (in black).

Cash on collection only on weekday near St Paul’s or Holborn, or weekends in Epsom town centre. If you have any questions please send me a message.

Please find photos of the phone. If you would like additional photos or have any concerns, do let me know.

An additional note: as described in my original post, the phone on sale is a brand new replacement, so the serial number / IMEI does not match that on the box I have. I have received an email confirmation from Apple's Genius Bar to confirm the swap that has been carried out, with a receipt / reference number (as well as both sets of serial number - one for the old phone as per the box, and one for the new phone) which you can check with Apple with if you have any doubts.

As an aside, I am looking to replace the iPhone 4 with the HTC Desire HD, so sensible swap proposals will be considered. Thanks for your time.

Oops! I uploaded it to my dedicated photo hosting site but forgot to unlock the particular folder for public view. Thanks for letting me know; the settings have now been changed and hopefully the photos are showing.

Thanks!

Got a Brand New HTC Desire HD. Just got today but locked to T-Mobile. Can do a straight swap and will upload pics on request.

Hi I am sorry I didn't see your message till now because I had thought I marked the post as expired and began to use the phone as my everyday phone after a lack of response.

I would be looking for cash (c.£200) on top of a swap for Desire HD, I am afraid, as I had been looking on eBay previously and they were selling for about £350.

oh my. £200 would be too much considering I got an offer of £80 plus desire hd from another thread.

I am looking for more because the phone is brand new factory unlocked with 1-year warranty and unregistered, so you can register your name on the phone in apple's database. Thanks for your initial interest though.

I'm afraid the phone has since been registered and used as my daily phone. I thought I had expired the post but obviously having technical difficulties (sorry!). I would want a higher sum for the part exchange as I would have to get the hd unlocked... But as the description of my phone has changed I feel uncomfortable going ahead with the transaction. I'm sorry for my technical inaptitude in this instance!

could you change the description when you get the chance to, along with the amount you would require....
.... or possibly expire this thread and begin a new one.....

Yes of course. Sorry for all the confusion.
