Games consoles and accessories:

Xbox 360 VGA Cable - £5

Connect any Xbox 360 to a VGA input on your HDTV or PC monitor to get a 1080p signal from it (including upscaled movies, which you don't get from a component cable). Also has stereo phono audio connectors, and an optical out for digital audio.
http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/360VGACable.JPG

'Chipped' Playstation 2 - £40
Old, 'fat' style PS2, complete with power cable, video cable and one official controller. Was bought pre-modded from Kanection with a professionally installed Magic 3 modchip (a clone of the Messiah 2), plays PSX and PS2 backups (including dual layer backups if burned with the Toxic patch).
http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/PS2.JPG

Official Final Fantasy X Strategy Guide - £5
This is the USA version, different to the UK version (different author, different artwork and layout), so it may be of interest to a collector, or just anyone who wants a decent strategy guide for the game - Final Fantasy guides are well worth it for the artwork alone! Pages are a bit crinkled but it's generally in great condition.

3-in-1 Games console video cable - £5
A video cable that simultaneously connects a PS2, Xbox and GameCube without the need for switching. Has both a composite and an S-video input, and of course you can add a scart adapter if needed.

Is the VGA cable for the 360 official and does it come with the little audio adapter and the gender changer thingy?

Thanks

Desktop PC components - I recently built a new PC so I've got a bunch of parts for sale. When I went looking for the boxes I found more PC parts (which is why I have 2 cases for sale).

Desktop PC Case 1 - Diabolic Minotaur, plus 500w PSU - £50
This is one of the greatest PC cases I've ever seen - it has horns, an evil face, glowing red eyes and teeth! Check out the pictures!
The paintwork is matt black, the plastic features are gloss black and red. The front of the case is a minotaur face, with horns and slitted eyes that glow red when the PC is powered on (they connect to the power supply internally). At the bottom is a grill which is the minotaur's teeth, but it slides up to reveal USB and firewire ports. The case has fold out feet to steady it. There's a side window and a duct positioned over where the CPU fan will be that has a removable, washable dust filter. There is a 12cm fan and grill fitted to the back of the case, and there is an 8cm fan fitted in the lower floppy drive bay to blow air downwards onto the hard drives. There is also a perspex window on the top, allowing you to look down inside the case and see the PSU, DVD drive and motherboard and cables. The window also has an 8cm hole to allow you to fit another fan and fan grill.
It's standard ATX size, so any motherboard will fit inside, it has 4x 5.25" drive bays for CD/DVD drives, etc., 2x Floppy bays and 4x 3.5" internal bays for hard drives. It's also got a 500w PSU inside that I will be including.
The case is a couple of years old now, but still in very good condition, and will come in its original box with all accessories and instruction leaflet. Just check out the photos! If you're still not convinced, just Google 'Diabolic Minotaur' for more pictures and reviews of the case.

Desktop PC Case 2 - Skyhawk Jupiter (Aluminium!) - £30
A much more standard type of case, it's aluminium so it's very lightweight and good looking. Standard ATX size, so any motherboard will fit inside, it has 4x 5.25" drive bays for CD/DVD drives, etc., 2x Floppy bays and 4x 3.5" internal bays for hard drives. Front panel has power and reset buttons, with 2 USB, firewire and audio in and out at the bottom (there was a panel that covered these ports but it has been lost, the case's appearance doesn't suffer due to this though, and let's face it you'd probably leave the flap open all the time to access the ports anyway!). There's also an LCD panel that lights up in several different colours (you can choose the colour, or let it cycle between them). It displays either the time, or the temperature - there's a temperature sensor inside the case which you can position anywhere you like, so it can be reading the temperature of the CPU, RAM, hard drive or just general internal temperature. There's a side window with 8cm fan and grill in the centre. Inside, there's a fan positioned over where the CPU will be, inside a duct that draws air out the back of the case.
Again, you can Google 'Skyhawk Jupiter' for more pictures and reviews.

Pentium D 3.4ghz CPU with official Intel heatsink and fan - £60
The Pentium D 950 processor is socket 775, 64bit, has a Presler core, runs at 3.4ghz (3400mhz), has 4mb L2 cache and 800FSB. It was released on 16th January 2006. Pentium D was Intel's first line of dual core processors. In excellent condition, has never been overclocked. Comes with the official Intel heatsink and fan that it was supplied with.

http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/PD950withFan.JPG

Official Intel CPU heatsink and fan - £10
This came with my new CPU (a Core2Quad), but I bought an Arctic Cooler, so this is surplus to requirements. It's exactly the same as the Intel HS/Fan included with my Pentium D above. It can be used for any of Intel's latest lines of processor - Pentium D, Core2Duo and Core2Quad. Has never been used before (still has untouched pads of thermal paste on the bottom).
http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/IntelFan.JPG

Gigabyte 8I945P Pro Motherboard - £50
Socket 775, still a good spec board with all the trimmings like DDR2 RAM, SATAII, RAID, Firewire, PCI-E, 8 channel audio, full details available in the link in the next post.
I haven't been able to find the box for it, but I will keep looking - in any case the manual and drivers should be available online. I have the backplate for it, to fit into your PC case, and the back panel with USB and firewire ports on it. I will also include 2x IDE cables and 2x SATA cables.
Full details available here:

Linksys PCI Wireless Network Adapter - £5
A PCI WLAN adapter to make your PC wireless! No longer needed as my new motherboard has integrated wireless. Complete with external aerial and driver disk.
http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/LinksysWLAN.JPG

2gb DDR2 RAM (2x1gb pair) - £20
2x 1gb sticks of 240pin DDR2 667 PC2-5300 CL5 RAM. Matched pair, so ideal for running in dual channel mode. It's a decent brand, I bought it from a reputable dealer (Scan), but I can't remember which brand it is and it unhelpfully doesn't say on the RAM itself.
http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/RAM.JPG

Asus EAX1950 Pro 256mb PCI Express Graphics Card (ATI) - £50
Asus branded ATI 1950 Pro PCI-E graphics card. 256mb GDDR3 RAM running at 700mhz, with a 580mhz GPU, 36 pixel processors and 8 vertex pipes. 2x DVI outputs and native CrossFire support. Shader Model 3.0, DirectX 9 and HDCP ready. I've had it for just over a year and it still packs a punch, can easily play Crysis and all other latest games on decent settings.
http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/Asus1950Pro.JPG

250gb Western Digital SATA hard drive - £25
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive. Has just been used for file storage, I may have a second one for sale if I manage to clear enough space when I sort out my files, so don't fight over this one!
http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/250gbHD.JPG

10gb Seagate hard drive - £5
Seagate ST310014ACE 10GB UDMA/100 5400RPM 2MB IDE HDD. Originally an Xbox hard drive but was replaced when I turned my Xbox into a media centre. Can now be used for anything (including being put back in an Xbox, or a PC).
http://www.undeb.bangor.ac.uk/rostra/new/10gbHD.JPG

Laptop DVD-ROM Drive - £5
From a rather old IBM laptop. Model SR-8174-H. Manufactured December 1999. Should work in any laptop as it's the usual size and shape, just depends on the bezel.

Rotastak Hamster Cage - £50
I bet this is the last thing you all expected at the end of this list of tech stuff! My hamster takes up way too much space so I'm downsizing her home. I've got a whole lot of official Rotastak stuff going spare - I think it's best to show what I have rather than describe it, so there's a bunch of photos of this. It basically consists of two of the large base units that are part of Rotastak starter kits, plus one of the medium sized round cages, plus two wheels, two water bottles and loads of tunnels/tubes (19 regular tubes, 2 short tubes, 4 ridged tubes, 4 junctions, 3 corners, 5 end caps and 6 adapters, plus there's about 15 of the metal rings that can be put on the ends of the tubes to stop the hamsters chewing them). It's obviously been used as several parts have been chewed, but it is all still in good condition (I threw out any parts that were no longer usable). Rotastak retails at ridiculously high prices, so I think £50 for all of this is a fair price. My hamster has not had any illnesses at all while living in this Rotastak, but it will all be cleaned before I send it anyway. Check out the photos - the last one is an arrangement I built using most, but not all, of the pieces.

Sorry, you can't bid on here - I know you can get new ones for around £15, that's why I put it up at £5, and unfortunately I can't accept offers higher than that, especially when someone has already got first refusal on it. (and you could have had the 16x one for less than that :?)

cool, if you pm me your paypal details i shall pay right away (dvd 16x writer)

I want to buy 1gb of RAM (if you would sell separately) but was wondering what the PC5200 or PC3200 etc mean because mine isn't the same PC lol.

Yeah, it's the speed of the RAM basically. It's 240pin DDR2 RAM, so as long as your motherboard supports that it will work. It doesn't really matter if you mix speeds, although it's preferable to have matching sticks of RAM. If you had 2 sticks at different speeds running in dual channel mode it would only run at the speed of the slower stick of RAM.
#26
Would you accept £18 for the 250GB HDD and package that with the other stuff?

Thanks

your prices are well high.

Thanks for that intelligent and constructive comment. I actually did some research before I listed them by first of all checking retail prices, then searching for completed items on eBay, so the prices are actually all based on the average eBay selling prices. Obviously any buyer would want to pay as little as possible, it's only natural, but from my, the seller's, point of view, I'm not going to ask for anything less than what I can get for each item elsewhere, it's only good sense. Plus I'm open to offers, and as this website's rules state that I can't accept any offers higher than my initial asking price it's better to start off with optimistic prices and work down, isn't it? In fact I've already accepted an offer of £12 including postage for 3 items that, with my starting prices, totalled £20 excluding postage, so it would be interesting to see what, specifically, you find overpriced here because if I have genuinely priced something higher than it should be then you could point it out so that I can lower it, or if you're interested in buying something you can make me an offer, but other than that yours just seems like an offhand comment because I seriously doubt you went to the effort of researching the prices on all my items just to post that.
#30
sorry really just wanted it for a fiver inclusive of everything, pass the vga cable to yus786 if you dont want to sell it to me for that price
#31
Would you accept £20 + postage for one of your WD2500KS? Payment Via PayPal.

Would anyone be interested in a PC if I built one out of the components? You'd have a choice of case, plus the 500w PSU, and the spec would be:

Pentium D Dual Core 3.4ghz
2gb RAM
ATI X1950 Pro 256mb Graphics card
500gb HD (2x250gb - obviously configurable as RAID should you choose)
Wireless networking, 8.1 channel audio, 6 USB ports, firewire, etc.

All set up and tested beforehand - would make an excellent gaming PC (will easily play Crysis or any other recent PC game).

£250 delivered? Anyone?

I think I'll hold out for £25, sorry. Am really starting to think I'll get more if I build a PC out of the parts.

I've removed items that are no longer for sale and edited prices in the first few posts of the thread. Please note - I can't edit the initial post, so don't rely on its contents.
