Expired - Wtd: MOTHERBOARD - Socket A / 462 (please see specs required)
I'm after a Socket A / 462 Motherboard......
REQUIRE minimum specs as follows:
- Be capable of running an AMD XP 2800+ Barton CPU
- Be able to accept a single 1Gb PC3200 RAM module in one memory slot AND 1 or more modules in the other slots
- Have an AGP 8x graphics card slot
- Have at least 4 PCI expansion slots
OPTIONAL - would be nice if it also had:
- 1 or more SATA1 connectors
It does NOT have to have the following, but will accept it if it does:
- Onboard graphics
- Onboard sound

Please post whatever you have with MAKE & MODEL NUMBER & the price delivered. I'll do the research if necessary to see if it meets my needs.
If I'm interested in a particular motherboard posted, the seller must be prepared to post pics of it with username on a piece of paper & provide eBay membership name on request.
Once a sale is agreed upon they should provide the following via pm (part of the forum rules) - their home address, landline telephone number, verified PayPal email address. If new, they should make a £1 payment to my PayPal address, which I'll return when paying for the item.

one went on ebay for £56=postage with no leads and this has all the original matching giga leads and manuals stickers box etc

The other day my PC died & I found that the memory controller on the motherboard had packed in - makes continuous long beeps. This can't be due to anything else, can it? Swapped with good RAM & it still does the same.
Its currently part of a desktop Im trying to sell but dont mind separating it for £40 delivered (incl paypal fees) unless you can pick the item ip from Central London in which case Ill settle for £35

Would just like to confirm that it will support a 2800+ CPU. Not sure I can use my 1Gb PC3200 module, so will have to go for the 2-3 256Mb PC3200 modules I happen to have.
Yes, I should be able to get a northbridge cooler for a few pounds - or, even canabalise the old motherboard one.
Does it come with a backplate & anything else please?
Please let me know how much it is to post +£2 as mentioned. I'll take it if it supports my CPU & the postage isn't too much :thumbsup:

Edit: Just discovered that only the FISR & SR models have SATA, so you could have one of these?
If the one you have does not have SATA, then I'll go for the Mercury board.
