I'll probably take LOADS of flack for this and it'll be removed but what the hell, here goes.
I've got a Wii for sale and it's a UK version brand new, box never opened. I'm in the Southampton area. I was going to whack it on e*ay btu I thought someone might be interested on here and it'll save me and them some hassle.

I've bought it to make some money as anyone would as I have a family to think of, so if you just want to come on and give me abuse that's up to you...

It's up for sale at £260. Cash on delivery or a cheque and delivery with cleared funds. P+P can be discussed.

Maybe if you buy a cheap (pre-owned?) popular game title you may get more takers.

But, I agree, £80 over R.R.P is a decent return for you & not too high for a person unlucky enough not to be able to locate one elsewhere.

Personally, though, I would not be offering any more than R.R.P. + postal costs.

BFN,

fp.

Good luck to you Clarence, if I lived closer than 200 miles away I would consider buying it.

As for the fact the guy is making money out of my / our p*** poor planning whose fault is that. The amount of times I walked past full shelves no more than two months ago and didn't jump in feet first - ho hum I will live and learn.

Shoot me down in flames but if I had the foresight and a little luck to get hold of a few I am damn sure I would be asking at least this amount.

Ebay's probably the best place for it as this is a 'bargains' site but if someone's willing it to pay that for much who are we to argue...
#7
Cex will give you £221 cash, so either way you can ensure you make something. Gd luck with the sale either on here or via auction tho

Thanks for involvement again mate, your concern for my welfare is quite touching..:) Been there sold one for £300 no problem etc etc. But if you'd had bothered to READ the opening title thread then you'd see why I'm offering it up on here.

"I was going to whack it on e*ay btu I thought someone might be interested on here and it'll save me and them some hassle." Get it now.....?

Too much to ask that you do that and maybe leave me alone for a while if you can...?
Thanks

So, you've already admitted in the thread you're greedy - now you're admitting that you're lazy too, by trying to flog a grossly over-priced item without the hassle of auctions, fee's and the chance of selling to someone in Nigeria?

Lets be honest - if you were interested in the welfare of anyone on here, even in the slightest, you wouldn't be trying to line you're pockets from somebody else's desperation.

But, hey ho, each to their own eh
#14
I love the way you make out your trying to do people a favour by selling it for £80 more than you paid for it. How very gracious of you.

stick it on ebay mate, cex price is going through roof at moment £300 for a preowned wii! I tried to offer wii's on here but you get the noobs who are pxxxed at not buying one earlier and dont like to see anyone make a few quid, i put my 3 wii's on ebay, all sold well above what i was asking in here.

Bully, I'm not p****d because I've not got one. I managed to pick it up a few weeks back, what really gets my goats up is people like you who buy 3 at a time depriving the actual people who really want one, then you lot come on trying to act like your doing the forum a favour selling them for over-inflated prices.

Seconded.

The irony of the whole thing is that these low-lifes are scouring these kind of sites trying to pick up 'bargains' other people have spent time on searching for and posting only to try and sell onto those who aren't fortunate enough to get first time round for a profit!

The sooner this site brings in a 'No selling over RRP' rule the better.

And to Bully, I managed to bag one from Amazon only but a week ago, so dont hit me with any of your inane sour grapes drivel.

Spot on... Thats why these are in such short supply at min. - I could have bought one myself today to sell on... (stock in local toys r us) but hence this makes it harder for geniune customers to buy - I already own one!

You don't want it then fine, jog on.......Nasty old me for depriving poor innocent people of THEIR RIGHTFUL Wii. Please, get a grip....

And BTW in response to Kevsmi who said I'd admitted I was greedy, it was a joke and a bit of a pop at the likes of the bleating masses on here...

Please, I don't mind if you don't want one and come on here to have a dig at me, I'm a big lad now, but please don't come on here crying about how hard done by people are and how the milk of human kindness should make my cup runeth over because it's a poor arguement, at least try something original.

Thanks:)

If you don't want us bleating on why don't you go sell it on ebay.

This website is about bargains, stop trying to justify that your being helpful, when really your only looking line your back pocket.

I wondered how long it would be before you resorted to insults....nice touch.:) FYI this section is about FOR SALE OR TRADE... English not a strong point for you..? Your reading and use of abusive language would suggest so..:)
#22
Clarence - Just dont bite - Your bound to get stick for selling it.... Just reply to genuine interests only.....

I did realise it was a joke, as was the retort on ebay.

You seemed to have changed tact though, within the space of a couple of posts - were you not trying to do someone a favour earlier by selling this at an inflated rate? Now it's more along the lines of 'to hell with them all' !!!!

Nice guy

Read it however you like, doesn't bother me. :) Shall I spell it out for you...SLOWLY.

I have a Wii for sale. It's £260 which is £80 more than the rrp of the product or should that be SRP. I am not forcing anyone to buy it. Still with me..? These items are extremely hard to get hold of and the seling price (if you can get one at cost good luck and well done) on certain sites is nearer £300 that includes Marketplace @Amazon. Still there...? I am offering this item at a price which reflects the market at this time and I think is still ok for those whose heart is set on one.

You'll be delighted if there is a sudden HUGE influx of these and I get left High and Dry, that'll be my fault and that's the essence of the thing.

Before you reply, ask yourself if you've ever bought something you've wanted but had to pay a little over the odds for it..?

You may not see what I'm doing as maybe helping someone out, I do.

And yes I am a NICE Guy.. Ta

Better than you managed, and well done for keeping the language down,it's appreciated..:)

Thanks for the detailed response, but you really shouldnt have wasted your time - I've heard it all before, and I know enough about the economics of the issue to have understood it the first time! But I wasn't alluding to economics, more ethics.

But anyways....instead i'll give you a wee virtual gold star for your kind sentiment on perhaps helping someone get the christmas present they have asked Santa for, and wish you luck with the sale!

Thanks, no offence meant in any posts, it's just people do get a bit wound up and frustrated this time of year with things, me included..:)

And to think, I haven't said a word on this thread and look how it turned out :) LOL
#30
Er 5 minutes ago there was a joker on here in the fs/trade section asking for £360 for his New Nintendo Wii. I posted on there but the thread has gone now!
Any ideas why its gone?
#31
i heard the head of nintendo europe on the radio saying anyone who registers with a high st store will "almost definatly get one before christmas"

there are quite a few roomers of between 60000 and 600000 coming to the uk on the 1st december

i would shift it on ebay if i was you mate
#32
I don't blame you at all for buying and selling for profit (I did the same with the brother label writers). However making threads on here is pointless, no one will take you up on this offer, you were on a hiding to nothing.
#33
Yes be quick cause the prices are falling. last night i saw a least 2 wii's only fetch £210

Yea my oh heard that too. I think people who have brought several to make a profit should off loads asap as thye might end up not being able to get rid of them otherwise should Nintendo do actually manage to start to meet customer orders!
#35
I doubt that will happen, this shortage wont be sorted before Christmas. I don't care what a ninty man says, they can't suddenly fix this issue overnight.

I agree but you never know. The Nintendos are about hence why the rest of the world hasnt got a shortage just us! :-(
#37
There certainly seems to be more popping up on here for sale, so that tends to suggest that they are getting shipped to the UK now.
#38
Haven't been any in stock since the 17th on wii-consoles stock checker
#39
they are appently making 1.6 million a week surely there will be some earmarked for the uk?
