This is one of the bargain servers that has now expired (OP here):
http://www.hotukdeals.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1986029#post1986029

The machine was purchased with the HD upgrade (to 250gb).

The machine is brand new and has been taken out of the purely to fit the following upgrades;

# 128mb pci-ex ati video card x300/550 series with dvi
# creative pci sound card
# wifi pci card (T.I chipset)

Dual boot windows xp and ubuntu 8.04 (note xp will need YOUR key if retained)

I cannot fit it in the only space in my flat so it has to go. I just want to cover my costs so am putting it up at £200 but will be open to a **bit** of negotiation ;-)

if you need any more info pics or screenshots feel free to ask...

See my feedback on ebay (same userid).

Cheers, dan

Now has Vista Basic oem [legit & activated fyi!!] on it instead of XP - rpice now 160 therefore

yep, that's the one...:thumbsup:
#12
If it doesn't have XP you should be advertising it as such at all - and your 'x300/x550' statement is very vague - which is it?
#13
well if you disnt want to have to install xp yourseflf wouldnt that be a significant bit of information. i made it clear the buyer would need a license. as for the card, devcie manager reports it as posted [since they share a driver]. you dont need to be shi*ty about it do you?
#14
can more memory be added to this (its only got 512 mb @ the moment or did u upgrade it) if i wanted to add a tv card (via pci slot) would that be a problem
#15
yep, as per the manual;

Memory
The four memory module connectors on the system board can accommodate from 512 MB to 4 GB of
533-MHz and 667-MHz unbuffered ECC DDR II single or dual-rank memory modules.

re the TV tuner, I would suggest it would be better & easier to use a usb stick rather than an internal card...

hmm, not ideal since Vista is activated on there so might not be transferable very easily.

I suppose £145 without o.s.
