I have the email receipt, can forward it on or print it and send it with xbox. It came from a well known popular online retailer.

Is the reason you are selling this because it contains a non-"Falcon" chipset?

I've no idea what chipset it is. All I know about it is that it plays games. :)

To be fair, you don't know it does if you've never used it.

Do you have any photos of the actual item for sale?

Is the online retailer you mentioned above, GameStation[.co.uk]?

I can take photos if needed, pm me if you want any and want to know where I got it from.

I'd sooner keep communication in this thread until a deal is reached.

If you can take photos then it will not only help me make a decision, but perhaps interest some other parties too.

Where & when was this console purchased?

Thanks.

This console was bought just over a week ago.

Pictures uploaded but they arent great as the console itself is still in the clear bag.

Thanks...

Your reluctance to relay the retailer (that I am enquiring about in case I need to make a warranty claim within the first 30 days, rather than returning to Microsoft) leads me to believe that the same retailer is offering the same product for less than you are asking.

Is my reasoning correct?

If not, why the big secret as to whether is it GameStation, or PCWorld, or whomever?

It was bought from Ebuyer and cost £194.

Thank you.

Ebuyer customer service isn't great, so I've heard.

Is it worth me asking why you are offering for sale rather than returning to them for a refund (considering you will be losing £50 if somebody offers you your asking price)?

I would rather sell, I do have a valid reason for it as i've explained to a few people i've sold similar items to recently.

It's still for sale just now.

OK... I acknowledge your right to not disclose the reason for sale (here), rather than return to gain a full refund, & hence your decision to lose almost 25% of your quote original purchase price.

However, without an open & honest communication, I am therefore wary of offering any monetary figure as I may be losing 100% of my money.

Thanks anyway.

Not a problem. Can I ask why you'd be wary of losing 100% of your money if you had of purchased this? A look over my previous posts will show i've sent over £1,000 worth of items COD in the past 2 weeks and everything I have sold has the receipt should anyone want it.

Ebuyers customer service is actually quite good, I have returned many, many things for different reasons and only ever had a few problems, and considering I have used them for about 5 years I think thats good going.

You only have 7 days to return an item if its not wanted so the reason is possibly its just too late?

Sorry to stick my nose in but I only felt it fair to give an opinion as I have used them for a while.

im interested, but a little wary of paying you outside of something where i'm protected (paypal).

I'll send it out as soon as I receive the payment. I've not long joined here and sent out over £1,000 of stuff COD and im sure several people on here will tell you im as honest and genuine as anyone on here.

Price down to £145 inc delivery. £140 if you pick up direct from me.
#19
Im also willing to send this Cash on delivery as long as you have decent feedback here or elsewhere.

Which method for delivery are you suggesting?

£5 sounds too little for such a heavy/expensive item.

A courier or service with insurance for loss or damage in transit would obviously be a necessity.

Suggest: Royal Mail Special Delivery.

BFN,

fp.
#21
I use Interparcel for almost all my deliveries, I get a decent discount there.

RM standard parcel uninsured is £10.56 for an Arcade 360, no idea what sending one through RM special would cost but it would be way over what I usually pay for insured delivery. :)

Never heard of Interparcel. In the event of loss/damage how long would a claim take?

I don't use Royal Mail Standard Parcel any more as I sent something Insured before Christmas & they broke it... and the claims procedure takes up to 8 weeks before you get your cash back.

BFN,

fp.

They say them aim to conclude it within 28 days but i've never had any issues with them so cant really say how reliable that information is. I should say I book through Interparcel's site as thats where I get a discount but it's DHL24 that will collect and deliver the actual item.

Still for sale and im offering COD.

Sorry? What did you mean by that?
#30
That all you ever do is question people, always find a reason not to buy something and always seems to end with "Thanks anyway.".

Not that I feel I have to justify my reasons for not continuing with a purchase if the item is not suitable, I think you'll see from my feedback that I do actually make purchases.
#32
Fanpages has bought/sold at least ten items on here, whats wrong with finding out exactly what you are getting? He obviously is a collector and doesn't want to waste money on sub-standard goods...
#33
Im open to sensible offers on this.

In the original post you mentioned that the HDMI cable was not included.

According to the GameStation web site (for want of a better example), the following items are included in the "Arcade Edition" pack as well as the console:

===
Xbox 360 Arcade also includes

* wireless controller,
* an HDMI connection to enable high-definition output if desired
* and 256MB of memory - useful for storing games and other entertainment content.

The Xbox 360 Arcade console will include the full versions of the five best-selling games from the Xbox LIVE® Arcade including

* “PAC-MAN Championship Edition” (NAMCO BANDAI Games)
* “Uno”
* “Luxor 2”
* “Boom Boom Rocket™” (Electronic Arts)
* “Feeding Frenzy.”
===

If "It's brand new and only opened the seal to check the contents, everything inside is untouched" can you explain why there is no HDMI cable?

(Or do you think GameStation putting one inside the box?)

BFN,

fp.
#39
I think you'll find an HDMI connection is a whole lot different from an HDMI cable.

There is no IF's about it. My 360 arcade is brand new and unopened.

:) Oh yes, just proving that I am human after all!

I'm sorry to ask again, but you mentioned you had relayed the reason(s) for your sale(s) to other parties.

If you do not wish to inform me, for your own personal reasons, that's fine.
If you do not wish to inform anybody but me, in this open forum, then I understand. If you wish to send me a "PM" I will not reply to it & hence will we not be breaking any forum rules regarding discussions outside of the thread until a deal is reached.

I hope you can appreciate that not just I would have some concerns in being offered an item of this worth for a much-reduced price.

If something is too good to be true, it invariably will be, etc.

BFN,

fp.

EDIT:
Thanks for your "reference" above, bazzaric.
