Hi there Darren, few questions:

Is the warranty transferable?
How is the standard definition on this? As I got a 50" HD 1080p and was not good which had to return it.
How flexible are you on the price?

I can come a collect as im not far away!!

OK so will the warranty go onto my name? As I have known people have had bad experiences with the warranty and becomes void! Could you confirm with John Lewis that this is the case, as thats the main thing which is also attracting me to this TV.

When you say price isnt that flexible will it stay in £700 region if I collect?

Contacted Cust service 08456 049 049 and they informed me that I just contact warrantee dep and give details of new owner. I pass on the receipt.
Also I would accept £740 if you were going to collect.

Cheers

just for anyone i had a 32" lcd HD tv and SD was not great on it, i then brought a 42" HDtv but plasma and the picture is so much better on SD then lcd, its more fluid and the blacks are so much better, also i then brought a thor scart lead, and some people say overpriced, i say best buy, it improved the picture a fair amount.

Yeah i use SCART via a Thor Scart cable (£18-20 on amazon) with:
Picture format 16:9
Scart Control On (otherwise it will NOT output RGB even if selected)
Video output RGB
Contrast to suit you although mines on Low, as believe TV does a better job of changing/sorting the contract

I also use the component for 360 which is also amazing! Have tried 360 over VGA but didnt like it after hours of playing around with settings too!
The VGA is brilliant for PC usage though. Yet to use the HDMi port!
