I don't have a Receipt, but the Serial number on the card is warranty number.I got this card for a new PC I'm buying from a power seller on ebay, but looks like I maybe not getting this PC.Look at Link for details. Also l got this card on another Forum where I did a strait swap for my 2 month old Logitech Z-5500.The seller owns a website that I've checked where he's a Admin/Mod & they get Lots of hardware stuff to Test/Rate etc & You can look at this on the Link below. Not sure if you can View the first link because you have to be a member for a minimum of 30 days or have made at least 100 posts.I can take screen shots if that helps ?

The PC problem http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/computer-fans-explain-price/859824?page=1

The site I got the card from http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=353165

The site the seller owns http://www.eteknix.com/

The Seller was wanting £169.99 for the card, but when I offered him the swap he agreed after a little more haggling from myself.

OP.

Just to make it a little clearer please. Are you selling this with a warranty or not ?

If so, how long remains.

Just looked on the Radeon site but don't know where to put the Serial number in to check warranty details ?
The guy I did swap with says he is sure it comes with 2 Year warranty & that the serial number is all i need for warranty.
I can post the serial on here just now for someone to check for me if that's OK ?
If no one knows how to check warranty details then I'm Snookered & will then say No warranty.

Anyone want to check for me if they how to ?

I have an ATI 4890 XFX XXX Edition.

Would you consider a part trade / cash deal?

£60 on top?

On this PC I already have the HD4870 & the 4890 is not much better.I'm not looking to swap for another card,Just getting rid of this card because I don't see me getting this PC as stated in post 3.

Having experienced an RMA before – i know the receipt is an incredible important thing to have with a card.. If you could provide the receipt with this, i’d be able to offer more.

Since it’s a card out of warranty (essentially), lacking original box and it being £173 delivered new.

I’ll offer £105 inc delivery.

As far as I'm aware it's still in warranty as the serial number on the card is proof ?
I would not sell for £105 lol sorry bud would prefer to keep it & sell my 4870 instead if that was the case.

Quite often you’ll be pointed in the direction of the retailer for RMA.

Equally, a receipt proves date of purchase, rather than manufacturer date. It is normally required as part of an RMA, always has when i’ve had to do it. Massive dispute thread on avforums, guy had a similar experience where a 6xxx GFX card turned up dead and he couldn’t get them to repair / replace it without a receipt..

It’s a hell of a risk for anyone to take, anything goes wrong in 1-2 months.. They could of wasted £100+ on a GFX card.

With it being £173 brand new, yours lacking original box, being an OEM card and warranty being incredibly murky... £105 inc is all i’d be prepared to offer.

Sorry will not go as low as that & would prefer to keep the card.

Except the 4890 XXX Edition - i've got nowt else i could throw into the mix. Plus £105 is my max pure cash i'd be willing to go.

Only up'd offer i could make is the 4890 XXX Edition + £70.

I still have the original box with the 4890 XXX Edition, so could be resold quite easily.

Should also note that XFX cards come with a 2 year warranty. It is also transferable.

Still have receipt for the 4890 XXX Edition - Warranty remaining till August 5th 2011

Looks like an abused card to me from the pics (bend bracket/dust) and I am sure it has been overclocked by the previous user. As there is no warranty as you already found out ourself I guess you would be better off ebaying it.
#15
Good point - hadn't noticed the bent bracket :/

Offer still stands for trade + cash

Would be on the condition that you can bend the bracket back into place without breaking the GFX card.

That's because the guy had a Cooler in his case & told me this before I did the swap.
As for the Dust lol what Dust that is just the camera & how can you be SURE that it's been overclocked ? Are you guessing or are you just Trolling ?
How do you know it's not got a Warranty,do you have proof/experience that they will not accept the Serial number ?

Sorry bud still don't want to accept that sort of price.I see what they sell for on ebay everyday & my asking price is fair.It also includes postage.
As for the bent bracket I can pull them strait again with my hand if needed & was happy with the guys reasons for doing this & if you see the Saxo thread I've posted he was selling about 5 cards all new different models.

Test/Rate without overclocking? If the serial was enough for the warranty you would be able to check it online.

I'm not 100% sure you are correct.Apple have the Serial number as warranty & you don't need the Receipt. As for overclocking what makes you say this as you like I can't possibly know this.

For anyone who is interested I will let go for £135 delivered & will not go any less.Like I said earlier these sell for well over £150 USED on ebay.

My graphics card +£70 mate.. Easily sell a boxed 4890 for £70.. Clearing £140 before postage.. I would try and sell mine.. But I'd need the 6870 posted tomorrow, as I need by Friday.
#20
as per serial number you would need the manufacturer to do that, if its like the old ati they bought amd don't make video cards for sale in the uk.

Max i could go is £70 mate - but can do BT right now, in ya account instantly.

Card, would have to be after i receive the 6870.. As i need to wipe my PC and stuff tomorrow before the gaming thing i'm going to, would post it as soon as i received the 6870 though..

Otherwise i'd have to bow out, as im only really buying this for the gaming thing :/

Shame you live in Glasglow really, otherwise i'd collected.. Bloody scots!
