I need to sell my beloved Archos AV700TV 40GB to help pay for my bond for a new appartment.
The Archos was originally bought from QVC around 18 months ago so unfortunately does not come with warranty.
It is in brilliant condition and is fully boxed. I use it regularly to transfer videos from my PC to hook up to my LCD TV to view (saves burning discs) and gives an excellent picture.
As you will be aware this is a top end multimedia player/ PVR. It has built in Freeview and comes with a case with a dual portable ariel. It can also be hooked up to a normal house ariel or portable ariel. You do need a good reception to receive a few channels I have found. But apparently from a few reviews, it sometimes gets a better signal when travelling along in a car! I've never tried this however!
A docking pod is not included, however a travel adapter is, which basically provides the same function as th epod (allowing you to record onto the unit from an external TV, VCR or SKY box.
Comes complete with Archos travel case, up to date firmware, travel adapter, portable ariel in case, mains charger, usb transfer lead and all relevant packaging.
I will post pictures later on tonight if there is any interest.

I would prefer payment via bank transfer or cheque (obviously won't be posted until cheque is cleared) or via paypal if you are willing to pay the ridiculous fees!)

I'm looking for £250 which would include special delivery (insured)

Pick up from Doncaster is definately available or I can travel to surrounding areas including Sheffield and Scunthorpe.

Any interest before I reluctantly stick on ebay?

Any questions just go ahead and ask
Thanks
Paul
Shipping/Payment:
Delivery included in price
Preferable payment is Bank Transfer although Paypal would be accepted if fees are covered.

Sorry to be a cynic, but 5 months ago you "just got" your AV700TV (http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/98117/wanteda-tv-docking-pod-for-archos-a/), yet you state it's 18 months old... So this is third hand? Sure the £200 asking price isnt too bad, but when it's 18 months old and third hand, it doesnt come off very well, especially when it's electronics.

It was a birthday present from my step dad who bought it new from QVC mate. I've just sold this to someone who put a wanted thread up on av forums anyway

Glad you managed to get it sold... I gotta admit, the archos stuff truly is fantastic. I myself own the 40GB 504, so I know how heartbroke you must be to get rid of it. It's just an old habbit from eBay I have of just checking a little 'background' from sellers and if I see something fishy will sometimes post it just as a help for others, so im glad you didnt mind (sorry though).

As you've been here a fair few months and truckload of posts, I wouldnt doubt your word... Again, it's just an old habbit.
