Hi all,

As above, this has a nice quiet cooler, & doesn't need a PCI-E power connector.

The stock fan has been replaced with a Zalman one for extra quietness (please see pics below).

Link to card here: http://www.bfgtech.com/bfgr76256gtoce.aspx
(Although mine seems to have a different hue)

Price includes delivery.

Reasonable offers welcome :-)

Will have this up until Thursday 26/03 only.

NOTE: This is PCI-E & not AGP.
Shipping/Payment:
Payment via PayPal gift or BT

Thanks Tim, but no (had to Google that as I hadn't a clue :p)

Although I may consider anything computer-related that I require . Hit me with what you have!

Thanks again, but I'll have to decline.

Things I might consider - needs to be good-excellent quality:

- PSU with 24pin power: 300-500W (even one removed from a newish Dell PC, e.g. if you've upgraded)
- S775 CPU fan (low-profile preferred)
- Mouse: a nice gaming one

Selling for cash would be my 1st priority though.

you interested in a stock s775 fan i got with e8400 core2 chip + 360 wireless pad?

Hmm, I was hoping for a third-party cooler - thanks though :)

Please no console games or related as I haven't one.

I will consider some of the newer PC games, especially FPS ones.

Might have a PSU for you tomorrow - won't know details till it has arrived - will let you know - also have COD4, FEAR and Oblivion available if interested.

Thanks Liddle, will be interested in FEAR extension packs if you've any? And also the newer FEAR, plus Crysis WH & Far Cry 2.

These are the games I have already: COD4, Crysis & HL2 Orange Box.

PSU sounds intriguing - do you know how many watts at least?

Sorry no extension packs for FEAR and don't have either of the those others. Might be 450W... but not sure till it arrives (long story...:) ). I'll let you know when I do.

I need a PCI-E card. What's this like?

Would it run for example say Prince of Persia 2008?

It's not too bad (but don't compare it to today's monsters!).

Just having a look at the sys req for the game, & it looks like it'll be OK. What's the rest of your spec like? Having a dual-core CPU & at least 2Gb RAM will be ideal I guess.

Perhaps someone with experience of this will be in a better position to give you a definitive answer.

Thanks scanner, I think I'm OK for a PSU at present. Will most probably be getting one for free tomorrow - straight swap with my older one via our local Freecycle. Out of interest, were you thinking of trading it for my graphics card?

I dont really know how to really price them - never thought os selling them until now.

What would you say doing a straight swap with your graphics card with any of the two items?
#25
Actually come to think of it you could have all three of the items for the graphics card - let me know early as if you accept then I can post it today
#26
If you don't want to trade, I'll offer £15 cash for this.
#27
Thanks for the offers guys.

csiman, going to decline sorry.

scanner, I value those 3 items at £7 posted (pm me if you'd like to know how I got this value).

OK, no problem scanner.

I would've thought trading items of similar value is fair, but apparently not.

Just to make sure, is this card easy enough to fit? I know my MB is PCI-E and I have a pretty decent 550W modular PSU. My processor is also Athlon Dual Core, about 2400 I think, with 2gb DDR2.

Is there anything special I need to know?

Can I presume this is fully working yeah?

With all that in mind, I'll meet you in the middle at £17 though I'd rather pay normal PayPal or BT as I don't want to pay the PayPal fees. If it is gift, I'll cover some of the fees and not all by making sure you get £16.50 rather than the £17.

Let me know, thanks.
#31
AV1985 - if you use paypal gift, neither of you incur any fees as long as you don't take the funds from a credit card (paypal balance or from bank account will be free to sender and recipient)

EDIT: and if this deal doesn't happen for any reason, I'll offer £17 too

crossbow i have 2 x 300 watt psu's i could trade and pay a bit on top for this card?

thanks
#33
Hey LOM, thanks for that.

But I don't have the funds in PayPal for that and it never allows me to send from a bank account for whatever reason, always insists on debit card which charges me fees!

Yes, it's relatively easy. You uninstall your previous graphics card in Windows/Device Manager, & shutdown the PC. Switch-off PSU, or detach main power cord. Replace the previous one with this, reconnect all cables, boot-up & install the drivers. Same way you installed your previous graphics card really . If you need help, just pm me.

What case/motherboard do you have may I ask? Ideally, you'll want to install this in an ATX case/mb. It won't fit in a slim-line case for example, & the cooler will prevent 1-2 adjacent slots PCI/PCI-E slots from being used (may be an issue if using a mATX mb).

AV1985;4743323
Is there anything special I need to know?
Yes, there may be one. To run, the cooler requires a spare 3pin fan header on your motherboard in close proximity (cable length is ~10 inches). It can also be powered by molex via the appropriate adapter. Do not switch on your PC prior to connecting the fan power. Also, leave the case open to make sure the graphics fan runs when you turn the PC on.

AV1985;4743323
Can I presume this is fully working yeah?
Yes, I wouldn't be selling it if it wasn't :). Although the fan itself works fine, the Zalman fan sticker is slightly marked. The graphics card & fan are in good, clean condition (I live in a pet-free & smoke-free home). The cooler is quiet, but don't expect it to be like a completely silent passive heatsink.

AV1985;4743323

Thanks for the offer. I'll accept £18 but can't go any lower. I'll try elsewhere, or keep it as a spare if it doesn't sell for that amount.

As Liddle says, PP gift via balance or bank account will be fine. Or BT, if that's not possible. Cheque is also fine, but will take longer to send of course.

Noted, but £18 & we have a deal if AV doesn't accept my counter-offer. Thanks for clarifying PP gift with AV btw.

Thanks dude786, but I'm OK for now. Will get back if my PSU-swap falls through later this afternoon.

Oops, posted before your last post!

PP gift works fine via bank account with me. You may need to manually select it.
#36
Looks like AV1985 might not want it Crossbow - you don't have any need for the 3 x 1GB of DDR667 RAM I'm offloading by any chance..? I'll send recorded and add 4 x 1st class stamps inside the envelope :)

That sounds tempting, but I'm trying to off-load some RAM myself :)

I know - it's always the way, eh? And the reason I'm not just offering a straight £18 on your card is that I've already got one more card than I presently need - although yours is better than one of those I have so I'm considering it as an upgrade (But it's not a touch on the GeForce 8800 GTX OC 768MB on that beast I bought recently :-D).

Your card does look good in the photo though!

What card is that may I ask? Would you like to do a swap + some cash? I wouldn't mind something basic - it's only going to be used for test purposes. The BFG I'm selling seems a bit OTT for the job, & I feel someone with a greater need could make better use of it.

Thanks, but that might be down to my photography ;-) [feel free to put 'extremely good' before the p word]

A GeForce Turbocache 6200, pci-e, single dvi + vga, 64MB, ddr -- did I mention it was basic? :)
