You probably have an email invoice though right?

Possibly, I'll have to check in my junk folder because I don't remember seeing it when I ordered.

As far as I'm aware, you need my name (possibly address) and service tag ID in order to transfer the warranty. I did it for the wife's laptop last year so should work ok.

I had similar problem finding a confirmation email when selling a laptop I bought from them about 18 months ago. Sold laptop about 11 months ago and buyer wanted proof of delivery to confirm it was purchased from Dell Direct rather than the Factory Outlet.

If you just call Dell Customer Services on 0844 444 4155 with your name, postcode and approximate date of delivery they can easily track backwards and forward you a copy of the Confirmation email - took them 2 minutes to find my order and forward on. Hope it helps with your sale.

Thanks for the info! What's the difference in supplying this or not though?

I think it is mostly to show that it was bought brand new from Dell Direct rather than one of their Manufacturer Refurbished ones which might have been faulty/returns etc. This was certainly the case with the person that bought mine - also, think there is a significant price difference from their brand new and refurbished ones hence people more willing to pay £500 for something that cost the seller £700 rather than £550 (human nature unfortunately) despite having same features.

Getting there, I would take £425 plus postage which I think is a great price ;)

No thanks, £425 is my lowest
